Scalp Protector - Can It Provide Enough Barrier for Me to Use Tape?

I don't really get how scalp protector works. It seems like most use it to extend their hold time more than anything.

That said, is there anyone out there who could not use tape due to allergy &, upon usining scalp protector, suddenly could?

I never got to use scalp protector as I have the Walker Thick formula & it simply does not "dab" on. I will need to remove the top & try, I guess, although I don't think it'll be a sufficient measure.

Two: Does scalp protector affect your scalp's breathability, blocking pores like glue/thin skin?

It should. Use 2 coats of max hold sport.

I have Walker Thick & omg, am I blown away by the adhesive-boosting effect of this product when painted on, with two layers.

Going into things thinking it was overhyped, I poured a bit on my finger in order to brush it on that way. I noticed it was a substantial fluid, so I got out a hair-coloring brush & painted it on my entire scalp.

The hold is outstanding, both in the taped area (I remember how well the tape I'm testing used to hold) & ghostbonded frontal hairline. Like, I am blown away.

Going off wha @TooBad said, the scalp protector fluid dries on the skin in a "harder"-than-adhesive way, because it was NOT easy to remove that residue from my finger & fingernail.

I just hope I'm not allergic to the scalp protector itself!

I'm going to get Max Sport if scalp protector doesn't irritate my skin, because I'm particularily impressed by how well this product improved adhesion w Ghostbond, as WH just doesn't stack up well against tape, at least in my experience, and during curing phase.

Right now, the Ghostbond (Platinum) front & Supertape taped area are both bonded insanely well. While looking up the ingredients, I noticed something a bit distressing, about how one of the chemicals may have suspect effects on the health. https://www.harleystreetemporium.com/ingredient/what-is-diethyl-phthalate/

It mentions reproductive health. I don't really care if it may not be the best thing in the world, but I don't want something lowering my sex drive & functionality. What are your experiences?

Dear all.

The Walker tape scalp protector spray 60ml is the same as the walker tape 1.4oz.?

And what is the different between thick and scalp?

I never used two.
Some hours ago I put two layers of Max Hold and PHL Phantom on it for testing on my arm. Until now I don´t want to put the sh*t off for itching reasons... let´s wait....

Tried it on my arm with 2 layers of max hold and phl phantom. Give me some redness but not that itching - however just 24 h on my skin.
Also as I´ve said somewhere before here, if I you this protector I have the feeling that the glue doens´t have a good hold on my skin, for whatever reason
