So im 17 and my hairlines pretty demolished by now and my hairs thinning and sheadding allover,
ive been using nizoral , topical spironolactone, revivogen shampoo conditioner and serum and tricomin spray with little improvement, my dads got male pattern baldness BAD and my moms hairs diffused :(
so my dad recommended i go on the finasteride just as he had for the past 7 years with nothing but positive results to save my natural hair but im worried about my sexual health and a possible permanently damaging side effects
i was also concidering dutasteride as another option but im not sure where i could get some my Doctor wont prescribe it to me unless i got prostate problems lol :(
anyways i was wondering when would be the safest time for me to start on any one of thease since i know my systems still developing and i wouldnt want to damage it in any way
also, if anyone knows where i could get some dutasteride
i freaking hate going bald im too young for this sh*t :(

going at 17 sucks man

you're young though get on finasteride, try it, chances are you WONT have any side effects.

use minoxidil too on your hair!

dude, I'd just get on the finasteride... for me, after 8 months the only side effect that persists is a slightly softer erection, and that's only occasionally =)

anyway, it's your call but I wish you the best :hump:

thanks guys but im still worried ive herd of cases of people who get their whole weenie to brain connection irreversably fcked up and at this age my systems prolly not at its full development so if anyone started using finasteride dutasteride or minoxidil at or around my age tell me about your experience with it so i can decide on it or not THANKS :D

I'm 34 and spent a few months thinking about taking finasteride. I even ordered a small amount. But in the end, I decided it wasn't worth the risk, permanent side effects or temporary. My Girlfriend agrees with me:)

There are other products available, like Minoxidil and Fluridil/Eucapil, and others too.

anything about being 17 and taking finasteride to counter hairloss?
i wanna start on it since it could save my hair for years and years to come but im still worried about any damage that could occur to my sex systems any more advice?

I'd think long and hard about it. I tried finasteride for about 6months. The sides got worse over time to the point that I couldn't get hard even being in bed with a totally hot naked chick. That's when I stopped. Once I stopped within a year I had a 90% recovery. I can achieve an erection 100% of the time again, but my sex drive isn't as high as it was before.
