Hi,

I just joined this forum. I have been using the below products.

Keto 2% prescription shampoo
Fincar 1.25mg
Minoxidil (Kirkland)

I use the Keto shampoo after 2 days i.e. monday then thursday then sunday etc.
I use T-Gel and Selson Blue alternately in the remaining days. e.g. tuesday = T-Gel and wednesday=Selson Blue

I am running out of T-Gel and Selson Blue. So, tried to do some research for alternatives. Initially I thought about Nixion but it contains sulfates so don't want to go with that.

Do you think there is any better shampoo out there (don't need Keto since already using 2% prescription bottle) that I could use in place of T-Gel and SelsonBlue?

I have the below in mind.

- Lipogaine The Big 3
- regenepure
- Revita
- Nano (Dr. Proctor's Hair Regrowth)

Please post your opinions / experiences.

Thanks

EDIT: I also need a good Conditioner...

I've seen people claim that the Tricomin conditioner is really good for making your hair look "thicker" if you have long hair, namely Chris the hairlossfromsteroids guy when he was reviewing shampoos etc. The bottle is small and expensive though. You could also look into SLS free shampoos. Nioxin is another shampoo/conditioner which is meant to be good for volume while giving better value for money. Personally I'm trying Regenepure DR (1% keto) at the moment and using it nearly every day - it seems decent.

I have heard mixed reviews about Nixion. Also, it contains Sulfates which is why I was hesitant to use it. In-fact, I ordered it online from Amazon, Shampoo+Conditioner 33oz for less than $40, but then cancelled the order because of the sulfates that aren't good for your hair. The reviews of Regenepure DR are among the best, and price is not sky high, so I might probably go with that one. Still have a month shampoo left. I got the T-Gel for under $10, the big bottle I mean from BJs through coupons.

Another shampoo+conditioner set that i found good reviews is
Pura d'or Hair Loss Prevention Premium Organic Shampoo and Conditioner. Its a bit expansive as well, ~ $50 for both. Has anyone used that?

@Korlicbus, are you using any conditioner with it?

Nope, but my hair is shaved short. I didn't have any trouble getting it to lather/foam (Regenepure DR) despite the lack of SLS. The main complaint people had was it might make their hair look a bit "flat" because it doesn't foam up like a SLS shampoo, and that you need to use more each time for the same reason. Neither of those things were relevant for me.

My hair is short too, and it becomes too oily if i miss shampoo just one single day. Off-course, when i apply minoxidil, it dries it off. Someone in a forum mentioned that Lipogaine The Big 3 has a better result than Regenepure DR on people having oily hair.

You might want to try a mild everyday shampoo (one w/o SLS) for those days you don't use your prescribed shampoo. Regenepure DR has worked nicely for me in the past in terms of cleaning my hair and scalp (but it does not lather at all).
