So I was doing some research and it appears that I have sebhorreic alopecia. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is when the scalp has an overproduction of sebum which suffocates the follicles of the hair causing them to shrink and die. As far as I know, I think I've had this for the last 6 years as my hair has thinned out all over and I am now forced to wear the buzzcut.

Does anyone have any suggestions for treating this?

From what I can gather "seborrheic alopecia" is simply another phrase to describe androgenic alopecia. The only major difference being that SA is used more commonly as a description by naturopathic practitioners instead of Androgenetic Alopecia. Considering this, I'm not sure there's any real weight to the whole seborrheic alopecia diagnosis. If you're losing hair all over (ie: not just the "male pattern") then you should look into getting tested for a variety of other health complications of other organs or nutrient deficiencies.
