Okay so i finally got Some Nizoral 2% and i wanted to know what would be an effective way to use it SO AS TO have thicker hair coming out of the shower.....(Do you have to prewash? What do you prewash with?) Do you guys use another shampoo after rinsing Nizoral out? If so which ones have you had nice results with? (I.E Healthier, Thicker looking hair).

My second question is Does anyone know where to get 1% Nizoral in canada? I can only seem to find 2%.

Thanks.

I dont understand why you would want the 1%, consider yourself lucky that we can get the 2% over the counter.

I found that L'Oreal Vive Thickening shampoo did a pretty damn good job of making my hair look thicker. I would maybe use Nizoral then condition with the Thickening conditioner and your good to go.

So basically a Prewash with a dirt cheap shampoo, then use Nizoral (or revita or w/e) and then finish off with a Thickening shampoo? Hope i got that right.

After awihle, Nizoral is said to increase the diameter of your individual hairs. It wouldn't happen like, "poof" the first time you leave the shower - but over time.

When I was using nizoral 2, I'd lather it up, let it stay on my hair for the duration of the shower, and then rinse. No pre-shampoo. Use 2 - 3x weekly.

It's good stuff.

You realy don't need the 1% unless you want to use it every day.

Oh yeah i know exactly what you're saying i dont expect it to happen overnight. But i was hoping to use a thickening shampoo after my nizoral so as to get that 'fake' fullness, so to speak.

i just use the nizoral alone on the days i use it.

It makes my hair look just as well as the jasons ttt does.

The thing is, whenever i wash with nizoral i usually get dandruff the day after, it's not the red itchy dandruff though its just the ANNOYING *** dry scalp dandruff. That's why i was wondering what shampoo to use Post nizoral.

try a conditioner instead? shampooing again would probably overkill your scalp if your getting dry scalp. I love using Jasons ttt conditioner after nizoral. It has like menthol or something in it that makes my scalp feel tingly and nice.

Alright i'll have to give it a shot and see what works for me.. Is it better to use a conditioner/shampoo AFTER nizoral or BEFORE nizoral? Or is that irrelevant?

I used a normal shampoo first today and then nizoral. I came out, dried my hair and my hair was sticky and clumped together. How can i prevent this?

stop double shampooing and just get a good conditioner after nizoral. because it is a shampoo itself with the added med.

So it doesn't matter if we use a conditioner or such after nizoral?

nizoral 2 can be a bit harsh. Dr. Lee even recommends a conditioner (if needed) on his website.

Nizoral 2% is a anti dandruff shampoo so i dont know why you would be getting dandruff the next day. I believe there was a study that said 1% is just as good for hairloss but the 2% was better for dandruff control.

Personally Nizoral cleans my hair great with no need for a pre-wash. Just follow it up with a good conditioner. Your not gonna wash away the hair growth properties of nizoral by conditioning afterwards.
