shaved my head to 0 despite transplants

i have posted on here several times. currently i am 23 and had a hair transplant at 21 for my receding hairline. at 22 i had another, so i now have 2 strip scars on my dome. i didnt like the way the hair grew in. just didnt look natural. so i felt cheated and lied to and i now realize that it was the biggest mistake ever. i hate myself for it. i know i didnt have the balls to shave my head at the time, but because my hair transplant looks like crap, i decided to shave to a 1. yes the scars are very noticable, as well as the cobblestoning at the recepient area. but it looked better than it did longer even if i did show scarring. today, i shaved it without the blade on my clippers. i must say, aside from the now very obvious strip scars and the bumbs on the front, it looks damn good. how stupid i feel to have not done this in the first place. of course, i hate the scars and want to somehow reverse my hair transplant the best i can. i am wondering what i can do ablut the grafts....what s the first step? can the underlying bumps be treated before removal? is there a cream or something that can diminish this? also what is the best way to get rid of these grafts. i just want my recepient area back to the way it was before my hair transplant. smooth and flesh colored. the scars are another issue on its own, but i need a place to start. i would like to fill up my scars with body hair as i dont want anymore head scarring. any advice to get my reversal going would be GREATLY appreciated. thank you that respond.

in what way did the recipient area not look natural, besides the cobble stoning? I have wavy hair, and I think my hair naturally curls a little towards the front, but my grafts were rotated 180 degrees from that so they curl towards the back. This gives me a cowlick look, and a ridge of oppositely pointing hair, though i can pat it down so it all lays the same. Tell me more about yours.

hair grew out almost like body hair, looking different from my natural hair. couldnt keep it very long. the only way i feel comfortable now is shaving my head. i would like to bic it in the future, but i need to somehow improve my situation before i do that. is there a cream or something that can reduce the cobblestoning? ive seen at-home microdermabrasion kits and acne scar kits, but i dont know if i should try these or not. also , i want to threat the underlying cobblestoning BEFORE iremove the grafts? anyone know if this is possible and what i need to do to return the scalp to as normal as possible. the strip scars are obviously always going to be there, so i cant really focus on those now, but i would like to fix my recepient area. any help would be appreciated.

My friend had some minor pitting and cobbling. He did a few proffessional microdermabrasions on it and it looks pretty good. Its kid of like a mini sandblaster. Its also good that the hairs are fine like body hair and not like catfish wiskers.

Mahair's professional dermabrasion idea is a good one.

Copper peptide products like folligen help the skin to remodel itself. Emu oil, the closest thing to human skin that we know of, gives the peptides some "skin" to work with. Used together they can greatly assist damaged skin to look normal.


By the way, some men on hairsite have had success fillining in donor scars with body hair transplants. 3-400 of them placed in the scar might make it look alot better. Its an option for one who is shaving, but had big donor scars in the back with no hair in them if the scars arent very large. If they are huge, they'd require more hair. Its something you can look into, but the front is where your attention is probably now directed.

Electrolysis, laser hair removal all will eventually kill the plugs. You can pluck the plugs in the mean time, but they do and will grow back out. Over time, plucking is bad for the skin..........................but a couple of rounds of it shouldnt hurt you too much if your saving money for more cosmetic work.


I hope you find and make the time to post on various hairsites in the future and let others know the danger in getting surgery if one is not a good candidate for it. Men under in 30 in my opinon, should not get surgery as they are going to lose alot more hair if they start thinning that early.

so , if i apply copper peptides and emu oil they will help the bumpiness on my head? i was told that these help heal the skin, but do u really think it will help with actual cobblestoning from a hair transplant? i am willing to try anything to get my skin the way it was, but it just seems that i would need to take a more invasive approach. where can i purchase these products, how do i apply them, how often, and what goes on first, since there are two topicals to apply. also i use rogaine, so how would u suggest i get everything on my head? do you feel that the at home microdermabrasion kits will be of any benefit. i want to smooth the scalp BEFORE i remove the grafts. is this possible. i appreciate your replys and help but caould u please elaborate a little more so i know what my next step to reversal is? btw, almost every post i put up states how much i regret having this done. of course some people told me not to do it when i told them i was, and i just thought "they dont understand...they arent going bald" when i researched hair transplant on the internet, i only came across sites promoting how great they were and how much my life will change. my life changed, thats for sure. of course, i suppose i was lucky enough to come across posts that said to stay away from bosley and mhr. those were the first people i contacted because they are really the only ones advertising. but in my emotional state, and a supposed "cure" for my hairloss, it was like talking to a wall. of course, im much stronger because of all of this and look forward to being bald(and natural) as retarded as that sounds. i say, shave ur head,get jacked, grow aome facial hair, get a tan, and bang the girlfriends of anyone that say anything about ur hair. but we all make mistakes i suppose...thank you for anyone willing to help myself and others.

i understand these products may help the scarring, but what about the cobblestoning where the hairs are growing out of? will they supress them? also is it possible to smooth them BEFORE i eventually remove them? my main goal is to smooth the scalp out. can i do this before laser/electrolosis or do i need to look charred up for a bit until the dermabrasion/peptides kick in? also, do u think the at-home microdermabrasion kits/acne scarring kits will be of any benefit? i dont have much money but i am saving. unfortunately, even if i had enough money, i wouldnt know what to do. i want my scalp an normal as possible, to the point where i can bic my head and have the front look like nothing was ever done. the strip scars are a whole other issue, obviously, but im not concerned with them at the moment. i know youve posed several replies, but i need you to be a bit more detailed. step by step so to speak. i really appreciate it, as u are really the ony person that seems to know what they are talking about. btw, how DO you know som much about what to do? thanks so much

I've read microdermabrasion doesn't do much, other than having a mild skin peel effect. Dermabrasion will be much more effective at leveling out your skin. If the skin isn't pitted too badly, and you have mostly some mild cobblestoning, professional dermabrasion can be very useful.

Have you consulted with a any dermatologists about this?

Cobblestoning is more complex than you might imagine. I have never in 26 years seen or heard of an ointment or topical that reduced the size or really changed it's appearance, including the use of steroids. My advice? Go to several reputable surgeons who have stellar reputations in repair including FUE and get physically examined. That's the only way you'll know for sure what your options are and you'll prrobably need to take some good quality digital pics with excellent lighting to send out to the best docs in repair. i hear you, but hair transplant didnt use follicular units 26 years ago, so my dome isnt as butchered as some of the poor souls you may have seen. just slight bumps on top of the transplanted hairs. u can really only notice them in bright light, but i absolutely hate them and would like to rid them. are you saying that the emu oil and copper peptides and possibly merdarma would be a waste of time and $ to apply? i am working 2 jobs to save money to "reverse" my mistake the best i can. i dont have my mind set on exactly what i am going to do, but thats why i come to these sites and ask questions. i am researching my *** off, like i should have done before i got my hair transplant. strip scars aside, lets say money wasnt an issue, and my main goal was to get the front of my scalp(where the grafts were placed.....receding hairline) to as close to natural as possible. i understand that laser/electrolosis will remove the grafts, but i am concerned about the cobblestoning and scarring underneath....so, while i am saving money, i wanted to treat the underlying skin NOW so it will look better when i can afford to remove the grafts. michael barry said emu oil and folligen will help BUT failed to tell me if i can use it NOW or if he meant they will help the healing process AFTER i removed the hairs. so thats ehere im at now. im broke so if using this stuff now would be pointless, please let me know. im trying to do everything i possibly can, and would appreciate any input from u guys that know what ur talking about. thanks everyone

mainly because i dont fking trust any doctors because they coauld give two shits about what happens to you as long as they get paid. some people here are in my same situation and i would love to hear what they have done to repair themselves. they arent making a sale, they are simply helping someone that is in the same position they were or are still in, and that is the advice i would take over a Doctor that has no idea the hell this has caused anyday
