Vartex,

My hair is similar to yours from what I can tell. Are you diffuse? I've been using Spectral DNC (front) and Rogaine foam (on the back) since November as well and I've noticed more on the DNC areas so far. Doesn't mean the foam won't work I just think the extra stuff in the DNC helped things kick in a bit sooner.

Is your last picture shorter than the 1st too? It looks like it sort of but I'm not sure. Maybe it's just because I was expecting a before and after but you said you normally have it 5-6 inches long. Since I'm diffuse, my hair actually looks better when it is longer.

You don't have a regimen posted, but are you using anything else besides the foam? No Big 3?

By the way, no offense but are you Indian? Just curious as I work with quite a few and you look like you could be, very nice people!

Those 3 pics are of the same length taken within seconds. Before Friday I've never had such short hair in my life! Right now I'm only using Rogaine and flaxseed oil. I'm not really interested in Propecia and I don't use Nizoral as of yet.

I don't know what diffuse is, so I'm not sure if I am or not. I've never heard of the DNC before, what is yet and how do you use it? If it would help me I would love to start on it!

And yeah, I am Indian. That's pretty impressive because usually people confuse me for being European.

Im not gonna lie to you...its gonna be tough without either finas or dutas. That kinda sucks though, most indians I know have full heads of hair or at least a good majority of their hair. I dont think you look European at all...to me you look either egyption or indian. anyway, good luck!!

Oh ok, I'm curious to see what your hair looked like when longer since it looks similar to my hair loss.

Are you using Rogaine foam or the old liquid stuff? I used to not be interested in going on finasteride either but the more I learned about it, the more those concerns had went away. Us diffusers really need something to reduce DHT. You should get on some Saw Palmetto extract ASAP than since it's an androgen receptor blocker albeit not very aggressive but still helpful. Skip the Nizoral and go for Revita instead.

Diffuse thinners do just that, their follicles start to thin out randomly around the scalp rather than having a full head of hair on top and receding from the hairline in the horseshoe pattern (and or at the vertex on the back). Looks like you still have a hairline and just that you're thinning. I would not bank on going bald eventually like you had stated earlier, you can reverse this now if you want to. But if you have no problem shaving your head either than that's completely up to you! :)

Here is the info on Spectral DNC. It is basically minoxidil plus a number of other known hair regrowth ingredients. It's given my good results already at 4 months: http://www.divineskin.com/spectralDNC/default.asp
(Cheapest vendor to buy from including shipping: https://www.orbitus-superstore.com/prod ... ts_id=3043)

Link to their Revita shampoo too: http://www.divineskin.com/revita/default.asp

Eastern European I'm guessing they think? Do you speak Tamil, Hindi, Kanada or one of the many other Indian languages? :)

Spectral DNC is 5% minoxidil + lots of other goodies (retinol, etc.). DS Labs, the company that makes it claims that Spectral DNC works much faster than Rogaine (around 3 months in you should see re-growth) and with greater results. Check out their website:

Word of mouth has been really good so far and I've just started using this myself as of a few days ago (first time to Minoxidil).

Also, you should use a shampoo like Nizoral....or you can try the newest stuff : Revita.

FairTaxNow, I don't have any pics of before. It was too much of a burden on me to keep them, so I ended up deleting everything.

Anyways, I'm using the foam version of Rogaine twice a day. I am not worried about the side effects of Propecia, rather, just the cost and having to the take it for the rest of my life. I see no point in that. You can argue Rogaine is the same thing, but it is really no hassle to apply it. I just do it right after I brush my teeth. I can't even keep up with my vitamins every day, there is no way I'll be able to handle it.

I'll probably order the DNC and the Revita.

And I'm north Indian so I just know Punjabi and Hindi. I don't worship any idols and only believe in one God. So in that sense I'm pretty normal. I wear shoes around my house, I don't have strict parents, I eat beef, play golf, and I don't drive a Toyota or Honda, etc. Most Indians I know are just pains to deal with!!

Thanks for your help.

Vartex,

Going on finasteride is cheap. You can go the normal route and get some propecia. Chop it up into fourths and take it every other day (EOD). Or you could go the most cheapest route and get some fincar or finast which is a generic Indian made finasteride. Cut it up into 1/8ths with a pill splitter, which will be 0.625mg doses, and also take that every other day. That'd be over a years supply for like $30. You can do some searches but the main online pharmacies people use are inhousepharmacy.com or hairpharmacy.com (United Pharmacies)

MUCH cheaper than any topical. But continue with the Foam and/or Spectral DNC, get yourself some Revita and wait for the hair to thicken up a year later.

Ah, forgot about the Punjabi language. Don't know anybody that speaks that. Are you Christian than? Most of the Indians I know are extremely nice people.

Word bro

I miss my 1 guard cut sometimes. Back last November I cut it to 1/8th of an inch all over with it. Felt great even though it showed a lot of scalp all over and made my facial features more prominent. My gf at the time absolutely loved it though.

Since you said you dont mind pic posts:
