Shaved My Head (with Pictures) Opinions Please

I've been fighting with hair loss since I was 21. I'm now 29. Did the big three for a year and saw very little results. Quit propecia because of a few sides but continued with the other two. The hair loss got to a point when it was often on my mind and I felt I was doing a comb over/ cover up job and I realised that eventually I would go bald.

I think shaving my head was on my mind but I was scared I'd look awful. Anyway, tonight, after much debate I finally did it. I don't think I look perfect but I don't feel I look that bad either.

What do you think?

I'm thinking maybe to grow the beard out and then shave the head with a razor.

Thanks guys.

I'm going to keep working out and I'll play around with the beard.

Lets see if I still do okay with women

Lol, always found it funny how guys always care so much about girls opinions especially regarding hairloss. If you let it affect you mentally then there's a good chance it'll make you worse off with women than before and vice versa, just be confident with it and you'll have no problems.

I guess the fear is that you will no longer be attractive and that you will end up with the dregs. Its a valid fear. Lets be frank, what we fear is being uglier, and by being uglier we become less of 'a catch'.

I think I will still do alright with women but to say I didn't give a damn would be a lie.

I'd definitely lean out that mid section.
When I shaved my head I felt like an excon because I was big but not lean.
Play with the beard some. Keep it clean.

You look pretty good with a buzzcut man !
Things for improve imo:

- You're already quite big so perhape lean out a bit and it will also improve your facial aesthetics and make your jawline more promiment

- Even tho you look good, a buzzcut and no facial hair is a bit of a dull look. Start playing around with a beard. Don't just jump into a full beard. Take picture along the way and try and see what compliments you best i.e. light stubble, heavy stubble, trimmed full beard, shaggy full beard. Keep in mind that while a lot of men will compliment your full beard, it's usually not most women's cup of tea unless you pull off the look quite well.

- Not really neccesary, but being slightly more tan along with leaner will boost your overall look.

Altogether you look quite good as it is.

Your hair never looked bad before you shaved it. However, I agree shaving your hair was a good exercise in cognitive behavior therapy as now you can see how much hair affected your life. I have days where I want to do the same thing but if I am doing it, it will be the day before I have to get an FUE hair transplant to make it all worth it.

My hair looked good when styled properly but if it became messed up by wind, rain, or sweat, you could see that the temples were receding. It felt like I was trying to hide something (which I was). I still think I could have kept hair for a few more years but, then again, I would have been worried about it for a few more years.

Its funny people mention leaning out because that's what I am doing. I'm currently 193lbs at 5'11 and I'm going to take it down to 180lbs before my winter bulk.

Not much I can do about the tan is it rains most days here but if the sun does come out I'll sit under it for an hour!

Bigger fan of the buzzed look if you've still got a bit of hair. Stick with it, mate

Here's a bit of a poser one: I'm going to use it for online dating and see how I get on.
