Shedding on Rogaine

I have been taking Rogaine for about 4 months now. I do not always take it twice a day, it just depends on how hectic my schedule is. I have noticed that when I shower I tend to lose about 30-40 hairs. Is this considered shedding? I have also noticed that these hairs seem to be very thin vellus hairs. Does this mean the Rogaine is kicking old hairs out and making room for new ones? I can see little peach fuzz like hairs on my hairline so I do think my regimin is working, but no noticeable growth as of yet.
