Should 1% or 2% Nizoral be used with finasteride?

Just started on finasteride and was wondering which nizoral shampoo to use. It seems like there are 1% and 2% versions available. Could not find a source that states which one to use specifically. Thanks!

2% is a prescription and 1% is over the counter (in the US). I use 1% and have for 4 years now am happy with it, the 2% for me was too strong and caused my hair to dry out but others here use 2% and prefer it. I don't really think it makes alot of difference either way but which ever you choose, let it sit in your hair for at least 5 minutes before rinsing. Welcome to the forum!

use the 2% m8. It will work better. If you get irritation in the scalp or dry hair, change to 1%.

1% same effects as 2%. Less harsher on the hair.
