I didnt have time to read the whole thread so excuse me if I missed anything..

But the most practical and effective tool of everything I've tried to lower my estrogen from finasteride(and yes it will increase on finasteride) if brocolli. It contains a hormone regulating substance called I3C. I was going to try a supplement called "DIM", but I found that just brocolli, as well as cauliflower and other greens, really did the trick.

“One study showed that 500 mg of I3C a day actually cuts the estrogen levels by half.â€￾

This level can cut estrogen in half after only a week.

That is a very large claim, any idea what the name of that study is, or where it can be found?

Not sure where the study can be found. But I read about it here:

http://www.4-men.org/nutrition.html

And here:

I could not find a link to the actual study. However by coincidence I made up a big steamed pot of brocolli, cauliflower and onions. The next day I felt great and my propecia sides were significantly better. Thats how I made the connection.

I also remember from reading on propeciahelp.com that one of the most common treatments for people who got destroyed by propecia was brocolli and cruciferous vegetable. By my logic it would be beneficial to eat a lot of these while on propecia.

I am by no means a scientist or even scientifically minded, so take my theory however you like. Any feedback is welcome.

DHT is in fact an estrogen antagonist...Arimidex can handle those sides or even reveristol with good results

finasteride gave me the worst sides EVER

more so mentally

I think the better question is what would you take that you know would lower estrogen and what amount of it would you take to see results? Im pretty curious to see some answer to that without someone posting some little study they googled somewhere.

Bump.

Propecia has been a miracle drug for me..BUt I can even take a full dose because it is like selling your soul to the devil.

However recently I have been on high doses on vitamin d and it has helped a lot with the sexual sides(not sure it helps the brain fog).

Which I am correlating to when my sides first started appeareing...Right at the END of summer, so maybe the low vitamin D triggered a hormonal imbalance.

Interesting read:
