Should I Combat My male pattern baldness At 16 Yo? Family History Of Nw2s (with Pics)

My hair has been steadily receding for the last 8 months or so I have been very open with my family about it especially my dad and grandpa. From talking about it with them I learned that my dads hair started receding at 17 and my grandpas at 15. But both are to this day nw2s my dad who's 45 still has a thick head of hair and my grandpa who's 71 only started thinning in his late 50s.

Do you think based on my family history I should be worried about balding? I know it can depend on other things like diet health even height etc but I have a healthy diet I play football daily and I'm also 6.1ft. So the odds seem to be in my favour but I'm still very worried about it. Any replies are appreciated :)

I wouldn't worry. Your hair is solid and by the sounds of it you lucked out with your family history as both your dad and grandad are only NW2s.

Thanks my hairline does generally look fine and no one has ever pointed out my hairline to me but when I pull all the hair right back it can look like a bit of a nw2 as you can see in the last pic do you think that's something to be worried about

99% of males have that U shape when their head is down. Most females do too tbf.

Your worries are over. Life begins. Know/find what you want in life, head down, charge full speed ahead, don't look back. Best of luck!

lol I hope that's the case I never thought twice about losing my hair my entire life until around November I had a look at my hairline to reveal a chunk of missing hair at the right temple. It doesn't seem to have changed much since but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't obsessing daily

Nah hair looks great. You might lose some on the temples as you age but with the photos you provided and your family history your good.
Thanks man I hope so. I know for a fact my temples receded slightly male pattern baldness or maturing I don't know I just hope it doesn't run back to far to young
