Should i go from finasteride to dutasteride?

I've been using finasteride for perhaps 3 years now, and I think it's been working fine...considering my hair-loss has been pretty minimal over the last three years, but still progressing.

I used to frequent these forums like crazy when I first spotted hair loss, and in that time dutasteride was still on the horizon, and when it came out, the results looked good, but it was extremely expensive. Since then I haven't really been back.

So, are the results still positive? Is it still as good as everyone thought it would be when it first came out?

I'm thinking of switching over before I order my next finasteride replacement.

It's no wonder drug but is still a step up on finasteride - in my experience. I'm not quite at the year mark, and feel that I'm only just beginning to reap its benefits (I was a slow responder to finasteride also), but would recommend dutasteride if finasteride has ceased working for you, though it does have a higher incidence of side-effects, I believe.
