Should I keep using Propecia??

Been on propecia now for over a month and since then my hairloss has completely stopped and my hair is now back to what it was before hairloss was even a factor for me.... now since it says on the propecia site and from various posts on this forum that propecia takes ATLEAST 3-4 months just to stop hairloss, could it be possible that I just dont need to take this stuff, that my hairloss stopped all on its own without any help from propecia??? any replies about this would be appreciated!!

It would be impossible for your hair to go back to normal in one month. So chances are you weren't experiencing male pattern baldness at all. Stop taking the stuff

Normally it takes 3 months to see results. Perhaps you didn't suffer from male pattern baldness and you had a normal hair change ?!?!

I've seen my shedding brought to a halt shortly after starting finasteride. But then, on month 4, it has resumed full scale. I'm going to continue taking it until I hit the 1-year mark, and that's when I'll evaluate my progress. It's just impossible to tell prior to that.

prior to a month ago i began shedding around January and a month earlier I was developing a severe case of dandruff and inflamation that I didnt begin to treat with Nizoral until March. During the time that I began to shed I would notice around 200-250 hair atleast which put me into a severe depression and looking for help which is also when I found this site. The only reason I could possibly realize why I was experiencing all this shedding was because of my severe dandruff problem which has now clearly dissapeared and university exams which but me through the worst stress I had ever yet experienced..... the only thing that I could find ironic about all this loss was that already only after the first week of using propecia untill now is that my hairloss stopped just like that when i was going through a constant 3-4 month shedding phase.... basically I am confused and scared to stop propecia and I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar experience especially after any sort of stressful exams?

Yeah. Stop Propecia and start it again if the problem comes back. Wait like 6 months.

Yeah I would say stop and start again if your hair loss comes back. High stress levels and enviromental factors can contribute to hair loss whether you have male pattern baldness or not. I know when I've had exams in the past, during exam period my hair loss would increase slightly.

Bullshit, your recent "gains" are most likely recovery from the January sheds. The question is, what is the root of the Jan sheds?

Look at the hairs growing on your head,. do some/many/most hairs on top/front/vertex have a thinner shaft then the hairs on the side? If yes, you might just have male pattern baldness. When you have male pattern baldness your hair doesnt just fall out never to return, instead it grows back a little thinner every cycle. If all shafts are of uniform length, ditch the finasteride untill you notice some discreprancys in diameter.

some of the few hairs that I now shed seem to be thicker at the root and thinner progressively towards the top, but for about 85-90% of the rest of the hair that falls out from the top are the same thickness as the sides.... however my temples seem to have slightly thinner hair with about 95% of the thickness that my sides have, however I have noticed this ever since I was 13 when I first got my hair cut short after years of long hair. As I am now 19 this doesn't worry me too much.
The sheds from January till pretty much april I can't explain because there was nothing but exams that could have sparked these sheds so they leave me clueless... so now I'm just scared to leave propecia in fear of the sheds coming back!!
