Hi all,

Here's my story:

  • Started to lose hair at 18, I'm 23 now. My father (54) still has hair on his head although he has lost quite a bit - probably Norwood 3V now. His father was almost NW6 by the time he was 65. My grandfather (67) (mom's side) still has hair on his head and he is at Norwood 3V.
  • I have been losing hair at a relatively low pace until summer 2014 when I started to lose it faster than ever. I'm currently NW2 with significant thinning that started to appear on my crown.
What I tried:

  • Minoxidil 5% Kirkland for the past 3 years.
  • Have recently started Keto 1% + Caffeine Shampoo, Laser Comb and Biotin 10,000 mcg.
Question:

  • I really want to try Propecia, having heard that it really works. I tried it for 2 days when I was 18 (it was prescribed to me then) and quit it because of the horror stories I read online. I'm very very very terrified of getting ED or brain fog but at the same time I read about people taking it for years with great results and no sides. Should I take it again or not? Should I start with the full 1mg or less?
  • How come I'm losing hair much at a much younger age, compared to my dad?

If you think the risk of sides is worth it then you should take it. I take it because it is worth it to me. The decision has to be yours to make.

its called genetics. The same reason why you might be taller or shorter than your father, or have different colored eyes

Is hair really worth sacrificing your dick for a few weeks, maybe?

yes

Another anti propecia troll. Please post your pics so we can see how you have "manned up" and are living with your aggressive hair loss.

The father can have perfect hair, have in mind that baldness gene can be inherited from mother's side, which is actually more frequent as i read.
That's why there are guys who lose hair at a more younger age that their fathers.
It is possible, i think, when there is hairloss on the both sides, but milder, that inheritance of hair loss from both sides to lead to a more agressive form which manifeste itself at a lower age.

Is hair really worth sacrificing your dick?

Maybe not, but what's the point in having a through-the-roof libido when your head looks like your ***?

What sucks the most about these trolls is that many of them took propecia for years and enjoyed the prime of their lives with hair. They benefited from the drug. They were able to live their lives as "normal young" men. They were able date nice looking women, get laid, and pretty much fit in with the rest of their peers. Now because they may have gotten sides, they want this option to treat hair loss to be taken away from everybody else. It is easy to say "it isn't worth it" after you were able to enjoy the prime of your life. But tell that to the young guys that are walking around college campuses slick bald without a chance to land even a fat slob. You tell that non sense to them!!!
