Well, .... frustration on guys who(maybe only temporarily) are only Nw2-3 if you're NW5 doesn't help.

The only sad truth about all this is you are basically hating on alot of people who have simply taken action and been very smart to catch baldness at a young age. Yes lets hate on the guy who is in his late teens taking dutasteride and RU to retain a NW2.....

Yeah those NW2 guys... Although I hope I can become one of them soon

Medication is showing some decent results in less than 3 months, hopefully in a few more months I can at least be NW2/3. Then in 9 months just be NW1 again

But yeah, like Fred said above, I hate it when NW2 guys try to lecture me like it's not a big deal. I decided not to argue anymore with them, or with girls who say "oh we don't care" and then you see their boyfriends and they all have perfect NW1 hair.

I can always talk from my experience since it all happened so fast, and I can't stress enough how, for example, 4 years ago I was at this party and 3 attractive girls were fighting for my attention, including one who had given me a BJ a few days before, and another one who I had sex with that same night and started a relationship that lasted a few months. How then I also dated the third one for a while, how I had to reject the one that gave me the BJ and how she cried. This without talking about how 3 weeks before at a birthday party I ended up with the birthday girl, fighting for her against like 8 other guys, as she was the hottest and also, of course, it was her birthday... How during that time I was also seeing other girls, how my ex called me from time to time wanting to see me and having second thoughts about us...

Yeah that was a life. 4 years ago, and that's just a fragment of a summer. It's just a normal life for any young, single adult.

Fast forward, 2 years ago till now, no dates, no interest from any girl. I wasn't able to take a girl to have a drink with me in 2 years (except inviting drinks at a club, kind of stupid but oh well). And believe me, before giving up, I tried harder than ever, talked to 50 girls at least, accepted all kinds of humiliation, including direct references to my lack of hair... And I never lost the so called 'confidence', oh no, I'm really confident in myself. I work on my personality, I go to the gym 5 days a week. But I'm also realistic, I know that 99,99% of attractive girls don't like baldies. There are a few exceptions, but all my decent female friends, in their FB account, all of those who have boyfriends, all their boyfriends are NW1 guys. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Of course you will see the occasional bald guy with a hot girl, or Bruce Willis pictures in certain forums, as proof of how cool baldness is. But that luck is for a minority, and for most people, it doesn't work that way. Also, I don't think most of those baldies you see with hot girls in the street had much options anyways, they probably just found one weird attractive girl interested in them and they just took her.

Anyways, gotta stop typing because I have to go apply minoxidil I don't even wanna talk about how this world will change if my minoxidil works... Especially for those who have daughters.

NW5, although my crown is showing some recovery, and my hairline is starting to look more like that of an NW2/2.5. It all happened really fast so I have high hopes of the reversal being fast too.

You had an awesome life before hair loss! You were some lucky mofo.

Most guys I know could only dream to have experiences like yours.

The main difference between you and me is that you at least got to enjoy some of your youth with hair.

I was already severely balding when I got my first girlfriends at only 21.

I have literally no idea about how different my life will be after my transplanted hairs fully grow, because I can't compare.

hmmm you may be right... Maybe I was just used to it, and thought it was normal. I never thought hair would make such a difference, and it was one of the reasons why I didn't pay much attention to hairloss, that together with the aggressiveness of my male pattern baldness.

Since you are already having some success with women, I think that with hair your life might be pretty awesome. Especially since you will be 25 when that happens, and you have the experience of having to struggle more.

I have a buddy that's a norwood 3 going onto 4. As a baldy i always tell him about the big 3 and how he should jump on that treatment. He just kinda shrugs it off and say's "Well, if it really starts going ill just shave my head.Its no big deal"

If you're a diffuser and have some bald spots that you're still capable of covering just buzz it down to a #1 and see how society suddenly changes, receptionists won't be that overly friendly for one but people will warm up to your looks once the shock is over.

The problem is when you are out in public most people are just seeing you for the first time and they ogle at you without any opportunity to "warm up" to our appearance and the initial shock it instills to the random passerby. They are seeing you for the first time but you have to experience the same god damned reaction from people on a day to day basis that it can be enough to drive you insane if you let it. I am trying not to let it drive me crazy but you know how much it does.

if passerbys are what's worrying you, then yes. an Norwood 3 isn't enough to invite excessive stares and attention. but once a person you interact with gets close enough to inspect your looks and hairline, it will become apparent to them that something wrong is going on. I had plenty of comments, especially when my hair was short and hairline exposed, even irritating suggestions about head shaving.

if one wants to not permit any kind of negative attention drawn to the hair, Norwood 2 is what he should aim for.

Nevertheless, In your case a Norwood 3 would be a considerable upgrade.

Yeah being a NW3 is all peaches & cream if you look like this guy, with a perfect headshape and can grow out you hair and comb it forward and easily create a frame... but the reality is most guys don't have perfect facial proportions and features like Jude Law. Just like most nw5 guys don't look like Statham.

Lots of people come here with their OCD claiming they are NW3 when in actual fact they are probably NW1.5 or 2 at worst, but Slipy is correct, if you are a GENUINE nw3 then you WILL suffer fools staring at your hairline instead of into your eyes while interacting and you will get rude and ignorant comments on the regular. It only gets worse as you progress into NW4 territory which is why I keep it very short thesedays.

When I think of a real NW3, i.e. the average nw3 you see on the street, without godly facial proportions, I think of this guy....
