Significant regrowth with keto and minoxidil!

Hello Guys.

First of all I'm 18 years old, I have been loosing hair since I was 16, caught it very early because I knew my dad went bald at a very early age so I allways kept an eye on it.

My hairloss is kinda diffuse a little bit temple recission too, but overall my hairline is quite good, but I'm only 18 so it should be. Some months ago I looked at my hair and thinked now is time to take action, because it was thinning quite badly, still thick but wanted to keep it, as the key is getting on treatment early.

So I bought some Keto shampoo and minoxidil 5% foam.
I've passed the three months mark now, and I can see very good regrowth! Or atleast in my eyes I think so.. It's mostly my denisty that has improved very much! Even the recission I saw on my temples has started to grow back, the light hairs at the end of my temple hair is now getting darker and darker, allready at 3 months!

My question is, is this somewhat placebo, because I think 3 months is not very much time to see so good results. Have any of you guys experinced the same, and later find out that you were just overhyping yourself? (Btw I don't use Finasterid) Or could I possibly be a victim of some stress which I suffered from the past year, and not male pattern baldness) If so I know it will come some time. I will post pictures later

It's all placebo in a sense, your'e still thinning at the same rapid rate, minoxidil hairs just hide that fact...
It's the sad truth but you really need some like Propecia that truly inhibits DHT to stop your hair loss.

Your har loss is still progressing, in a year or two if you're lucky you'll loose all you have at an alarming rate.

Don't listen to the guy above except for finasteride statement but I think you are still too young to jump on finasteride.
You can see results after using minoxidil for 3 weeks combined with nizoral shampoo. If you continue you will probably get better results. Did you go through shed?

people have maintained for 10 12 years by staying on finasteride only, minoxidil on the other hand will buy you 1-2 years and i really dont THINK it does shyt at the temples

There are people who stayed on minoxidil for 15 + years and it works for them. There was one men on this forum I talked with. As far as I remember he is using minoxidil for over 15 years. He said it slowed his hairloss. I think he was only on minoxidil and nizoral.
minoxidil works as long as one is using it.

Yes I did, first I kinda freaked out, but later I read on forums that it was normal, so I stick to treatment and it stopped, it peaked for about 2 weeks.
Also the hair I shed was small light hairs, no terminal hairs.

Also take note that my type of hairloss seems much like diffuse hairloss, my hairline is still a bit uneven (decent though), but very easy to disguise it..
I have read that diffuse thinners respond well to minoxidil, but not finasteride.

Think of male pattern baldness as a fire. You are now wetting yourself in order to not get burned (minoxidil) whilst you should be throwing the water at the fire (finasteride). Doing both is of course most effective.
Are you considering finasteride, or is it a no-go?
