Since my other topic didnt get any replies, ill propose it with a different title. Heres what i wanted to know:

Hey,
Im purchasing Xandrox 5% mainly for the frontal part. Can someone please help me with which is the best kind to buy..i see some have a corticosteroid called BV contained within the solution, others have Retin-A....Im not sure which makes the most sense to buy..Someone please recommend...

I was told by specialist i have Telogen Effluvium, but my hair along the front never really recovered..whether i do or dont, id like to try something, and i heard Xandrox is better than regular minoxidil

Whats your guys experience?
Also whats this about having to have a cnsultation with Dr Lee before purchasing anything?

Retin A helps with absorption of minoxidil and MAY have some hair growth properties itself. However many people find it irritates the scalp too much which can be counterproductive for hair growth.

If you experience a lot of irritation from minoxidil the one with the corticosteroid may help to alleviate this. Irritation is often caused by the PPG in minoxidil. Dr. Lee also makes a non PPG version which irritates less but is more greasy. This site also makes a non PPG version of minoxidil and a version containing azelaic acid which is the same as Xandrox-

PPG free minoxidil

I'd recommend trying the normal version first as it dries quicker and is more convenient, you can switch if it irritates you.

I think US citizens have to have some kind of consult with Dr. Lee before purchasing from his site but i'm not sure how it works. There are other places selling minoxidil which don't require this if you can't be bothered with it.

The only one I've had experience with is the regular Xandrox which contains propelyn glycol (spelling?) I've had no success with it so I can't give you give good feed back on it. It hasn't worked for me but I hear it's worked for others.

Thanks for the replies guys
I ordered the regular kind..i def dont need any greasier formula.

formerly- by success do you mean regrowth?
What if I am just looking for maintenance right now maybe some regrowth in the front..

I read it has Azeic Acid(sp?) in it which is a DHT inhibitor as well?
Im just holding off on the Propecia for as long as I can, just in case i really do have Telogen Effluvium.

I've actually continued to thin significantly on my vertex. Xandrox has not stopped the thinning. All I see as far as progress is slightly longer vellous hairs on my temples.
