I dont think they cause hairloss, although they could be irratating if you have a sensitive scalp wether you have m.p.b or not.
In the past there have been some dicks on here who believe that they are the cause of m.p.b. :roll:
The sodium is just the single atom cation that is not a player in the reaction. It is the lauryl sulphate part that does the work. Many of the organic shampoos will have amonium lauryl sulphate or potasium lauryl sulphate just to fool all the non-chemistry people.
The only truly non-SLS shampoos use glucosides, like capric glucoside, and are mostly available outside the united states. I've read they are so gentle they don't even clean your scalp well. I would use them as a face wash if I could get them. I wonder if Moogoo is still australian only.
