Well i'm 17 about to be 18 in 1 month. I started noticing thinning on the sides of my head. More so on the right side. Never on the crown though. I was misdiagnosed with cancer about 4 months prior and that put me through a lot of stress. my hair started falling out. I was noticing a lot of hair loss couple of months after the misdiagnosis. I don't lose much hair at all anymore. I lose about 10 in the shower. But at the same time i feel like my hair line receding. More so on the right than left. I've attached pics of my hair line with my hair up.

your either going to a mature hair line or its the start male hair loss. i doubt your stress has much to do with it. if it was stress than you would have hair loss in strange and random clumps.

i'm not really sure what you should do about it; maybe start using Nizoral shampoo twice a week.

Make sure what the cause is. If it really is male pattern baldness (most likely) then jump onto finasterid asap, if you REALLY want to give your hair an honest attempt to save it.

Else, try ketokonazole shampoo with minoxidil(rogaine, kirkland etc).

You said make sure its male pattern baldness but how does he do that or what else could it be? male pattern baldness is tough because there so few real answers. If you had more hair then you have now before and you notice thinning then you should start propecia if you want to try to save as much hair as possible.
I dont think mature hairlines exist it looks like you have a little minor thinning so I would try propecia since there are no other options well besides going bald slowly.

Possibly looks like male pattern baldness. You need to make sure it is and get on finasteride. Dont worry about minoxidil at the moment since finasteride should be able to keep it at bay. You should only add things in when the situations becomes more serious.

Yes. I will never understand why people suggest new comers to get on minoxidil first. You won't do anything with that, your hair will still fall. You need to stop hair loss first, then get on minoxidil. Finasteride by it self is a much potent treatment than both Rogaine and Nizoral together.

Yeah the story now is try propecia or just live with going bald not much else has any real impact. I can understand reservations about trying propecia as I am sure no one wants to use it if we had better options, but this point in time its all there really is that works.
