After nearly 9 months :
I'm almost shocked by the result!
My hair has improved a lot. When I look at the baseline, I don't recognize my hair.
Tonsur is still there, it was probably too late for Finasteride.
But this f*****g drug works!!
I'm also wondering what other effects Finasteride has on the environment.

I have to say it: "I told you so". Remember when I told you that you'll see more improvement and then you told me you probably won't?
You'll likely even see more improvement.I have been on finasreride for 3.5 momths, but no see improvement . Do you have baldness gene in your family? Do you often masturbate while on finasteride?

3.5 months is just nothing! You need much more time, to see some regrowth.
I would say minimum of 6 months.
Masturbate while on finasteride? This question is a joke, right?

37 years old.
Because I read some articles on internet. they said that overmasturbation can cause baldness, because it releases DHT into body. If I stop masturbation and take finasteride, I hope to see improvement soon.

I take generic finasteride.
BUT again: This drug is NOT a miracle drug!!What's gone is gone... no finasteride will help.
Finasteride slows down hair loss, but you'll always remain bald guy until death.
You can see on my tonsure, after 9 months no new hairs there....it was just too late:

People see regrowth in 1 or even two years. You have no idea how your hair is going to improve.
Last year I was on minoxidil for 6 months and had the big improvement. Then, i stop it, shed badly. This year, I start to take finasteride since July, 4 months passed away without difference. Yesterday, I returned to minoxidil 5% although i dont want to be dependent on it. (crying). My young brother he always has the full of thick hair. I just had the sign of hair loss two years ago, but the process run very quickly.. I dont know may hair loss is due to balding gene or hoormon imbalance?

Because i have high blood pressure! minoxidil is NOT an option for me
I'm not happy about taking a pill every day either.
It is certainly not healthy to permanently suppress your DHT value.

I know finasteride is not a ''wonder drug'' and I know you know your hair better than anyone else here, but finasteride (or dutasteride) can regrow hair on completely bald spots. Look below for some older success stories.I don't think so, after about 9 months you can see the final status.

wow the first is amazing but he used min too. The second is completely inspiring. I'm only using finasteride and don't want to use min because it's such a hassle to fit into my daily routine so the second story is a big motivator for me. Only thing is he's using dutasteride and not finasteride...
