Over the past year I half purchased and used the three major brands of copper peptide sprays and here is what I found.

Ranking:

Last place goes to Folligen for its ultimate stickyness and foul smell after a month or so of sitting around. Looks and works ok when you first get it even smells good, after a few weeks the smell changes to a mildew fragrance as if you left your clothes in the washer for3 days and forgot to remove them. Also it gets so sticky you cannot even comb through your hair, the spray nozzle gunks up regulary making the product hard to use. Price $29 8oz Cost effectiveness here folks....

Second Place goes to Crew for men Therapy Spray. I actually like this the best because it is a clear solution that smells great, almost like manly cologne, the bottle sprays with authority and provides great coverage. I rank it second because it does not have the same amount of peptides as the other two products, making it less effective. It has also been discontinued. Price $26 6oz Perhaps the best value, less potent.

First Place I am sure, to no ones surprise goes to Tricomin. Goes on easy and light, very managable. The only product proven to work with studies supporting it. Seemed to work the best for me. The price of $46 6oz is a killer, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Comments or concerns please? This is my direct experience with these products as I felt I achieved the most growth and least amount of problems from Tricomin.

Ive used folligen and tricomin, but my favorite is what I'm using now, folligen for blondes and emu oil.

Dr Proctor's SODs are second place to liposomal SOD. Actually I don't really know but liposomal SOD seems to make the most sense. I'm talking about SOD itself..not SOD mimetics. Some even think non-liposomal is fine.

SOD internally may help as well: http://www.glisodin.com/

hey redbone out of interest how do you know that Tricomin contains a higher concentration of peptide then the American Crew version? And what is the difference in concentration between them?

thanks

What is spin trap C??

It's a combination of potent SODs. They are probably the two ingredients in Dr P's Proxiphen that are most responsible for ppl's success besides Minoxidil...and now they are available seperately.

Why does Proctor call it an anti aging medication and skin rejuvinator?? I thought it was to help grow hair?

I heard that Tricomin and Folligen have more Copper peptides than American Crew on this site from some of the more experienced posters a year or so back. Besides Tricomin is the only one with a patent and documentation to back it up. Tricomin in a medical brand, is prescribed by most H/T doctors after you have a procedure. It helps the new follicle's grow.

Folligen made me have itch spots and was no good for me. PPG in Folligen is to blame, in my case, as I am allergic (same goes for original Rogaine.. that gave me bad irritation also.. no good.

DEFINATELY Tricomin for me... best sh*t ever.. it's working on thickening I can tell, and I like the stuff a lot.

I use a dropper to apply my Tricomin. The price is crappy but it's good quality.. hopefully it will drop in price within some time.

I just received my Tricomin, and tried it. It seems like you don't need much, since you can feel a tingly feeling after applying only three squirts of the stuff to my thin spots.

I find that it leave your hair a little shinny. Just wondering, if I used this right after work, and then around 4 hour later applied the Revivogen and spironolactone, would that be an issue? I have read discussions that there are some issues with the zinc in Revivogen and the copper in SODs interfering with each other.

Thanks.

Why does liposomal SOD "make the most sense"? Should we just take your word, or were you planning to qualify that?

SOD's do all of the above. Some people take the ingredients orally (anti aging). Some use them on skin (wrinkles). We use them for hair growth.

I'm making the switch from Folligen to Tricomin.

I like Folligen, makes my scalp feel good, but I am f*****g sick and tired of all the green stains on sh*t.

"Copper peptides are 2nd in place to Dr Proctor's SODs". Why don't you ask the same about the person who made that comment?

You can take my word because I don't just make things up. Same with the GliSODin as I had to point out quite some time ago over at alt.baldspot. But put "seems" in front of "make the most sense"..ok?

The cu peptide folks like to quote the study on SOD and UV

Creams containing superoxide dismutase activity have been proven to help protect skin during ultraviolet radiation exposure (Reference: Miyachi Y, Imamura S, Viwa G. Decreased skin superoxide dismutase activity by a single exposure of ultraviolet radiation is reduced by liposomal SOD pre-treatment. J Invest Dermatol 1987; 87:111-2).

Notice liposomal SOD was used. Just one example.

From what i've heard , American Crew peptides are licensed from Procyte - makers of Tricomin.

So there's no reason to believe Crew is any less effective than Tricomin.

I think companies like ProCytre obtain a patent, clinic trials etc. and then sell their knowledge on.

Crew aren't going to leave extra peps out, because I'm sure it costs nothing to produce these things in the first place.
