People forget that when buzzing there own hair, to re-go over the head a few times, get out your clippers and re-do it, till you cant hear no hair being cut.Once its all been cut evenly all over your head, I bet youll think differntly.
Fuking hell matey, you ever shaved your beard and left out parts, and it looks sh*t, u have more density on your head so it takes a few more strokes than u think to take a clean cut off.
Cut it well, and I bet youll be suprised dude

I always go to Regis, find a nice girl there who knows what she is doing, it may cost $20 plus $5 tip but you look descent and don't have to fret as much when getting it cut. They girl I have always does a nice job, textures the front so I can spike the center up and comb down a bit on the temples

Ive been hiding my hair by parting it and brushing down the sides for many years but frankly I sorta knew it became all too obvious, since I work in an retail enviroment and it has nothing but bright lights and 100 staff..... So I just shaved and went bald.

Sometimes its the only thing you can do, true I can grow it all out and get some hair styles and look younger at least and at least catch a ladys eye for 3 seconds more but at this point sod it.

If anything the shaved look is good alot of blokes are doing it rather then going bald and it is neat/cleaner. You cannot beat that feeling you get when wind runs over your head lol

And theres zero maintainence now.. no need to comb or anything just get in and out of bath in 5 minutes.... get up and dressed and off to work...Save money from hair dressers and shampoo...save humiliation any further....one less thing to worry about... wear headphones properly etc etc etc And a god send for applying minoxidil

Of course all nice pros but if a young girl walks pass..... am sure anyone would sacrifice all those pros for some decent hair

I went to the barber and cut it short. I became too much ugly, regular and unactrative but i feel much better. Dont know why but I do.

I started cutting my own years ago. Just buy yourself a good pair of wahl clippers and buy the biggest guard you can get. Like a custom size 10. Makes the hair around 40mm long.

Exactly, I've been cutting my own hair for about 15 years now, it takes a little work getting the back straight in a mirror, but I get the haircut I want & dont have to waste money on barbers. Just get clippers like metalhead says, you dont have to have a buzz cut, on the longer settings the hair just comes short but nowhere near a buzz.

I agree with Metal Dude. It's very easy to clip you're own hair and save tons of cash in the process. Check out this video. It's for military style, but just don't go as short. I cut my own pretty short (like the guy in the video) and it makes it easier to apply Rogaine. I also think short hair makes a thinning head look better because you can see scalp all over and it makes the actual balding area less vivid. When you try to grow it out and cover balding spots, people tend to realize you're trying to cover those areas. Just my opinion.
