What do you think about it? True? False?
These seem obnoxious.

Clearly an agenda...I like how they randomly threw in that one little thing about the suicide...it doesn't even specify WHY he killed himself, or if it was related to propecia at all.

Someone should make an equivalent poster for the side effects of baldness

Side effects of baldness. I give them a 95-99% likeliness, as in the 1-5% of balding men who don't experience them are the "Jason Stathams and "Vin Diesels" who still maintain aesthetic appeal when bald.

For everyone else, 95-99% likelihood of:

-drop in options and quality of mating partners
-stress from simply seeing reflection
-paranoia that comes from hiding beyond a combover(if you even have enough hair left for one), toppik, being a hat prisoner, etc.
-increase in difficulty of winning the affection and trust of others, and the inevitable effect this will have on carrer and social prospects

And I'd guess there's about a 70-80% chance that at some point you will be publicly mocked for your deformity...hell, people made a laughing stock out of me just for TEMPLE RECESSION

I'll take my chances with finasteride for now, until I get unbearable sides or something better comes along.

you realize this is an ad for a law firm? As I've said many times, the most significant side effect warning for finasteride should be as follows: finasteride may drastically increase the rate of male pattern baldness in certain patients by inducing telogen effluvium or through other poorly understood mechanisms. or something like that.

The problem with this is, whether true or not, we balding men don't have a choice! If you want your hair, you need to take either finasteride or dutasteride!

The real cure would be to make our hair follicles not sensitive to DHT like non-balding men, but there is no such treatment yet.

I have to agree with Buck, that stuff put me in a 2 and 1/2 year Telogen Effluvium loop. Thankfully none of the loss was permanent.

During these 2 and 1/2 years of Telogen Effluvium, did it just stop suddenly, and did you recover from it? Did the hair you lost during Telogen Effluvium come back?

I switched from finasteride to dutasteride, that caused me to have Telogen Effluvium. I still keep taking dutasteride, lately I experienced much less shedding when I increased dosage, but the hair that I lost will need time to come back.
