Do you really think that we will have a new product for hairloss in 2005? I hope so, 'cos I'm very desespered and depressed

Anyway, someone can recommend me what can I do to regrow some of my hair? I'm using minoxidil for 6 months yet and I'm more bald that when I started it... And I'm only 22! :freaked:

I need your help!

Many thanks

See a doctor or possibly a dermatologist and ask them about finasteride. Educate yourself about finasteride.

Do not. The birth control pill is the treatment of choice for women who have androgenetic alopecia!

Not. We may hear of new things to come - but they will not be up for sale until years later. :-x

There are three things that women can use in addition to minoxidil. The first are copper peptides, either Folligen or Tricomin. These are good for scalp health and have been proven to regrow hair in scientific testing on mice and humans. Like all other treatments right now, they won't work for everyone. However, they will improve the health of your scalp, and that by itself may lead to healthier hair. Folligen is cheaper and more concentrated. I started using Tricomin but switched to Folligen. You can find out more about Folligen at http://www.skinbiology.com

The second thing you can try is a Lasercomb. It sounds goofy, but it is FDA approved for hair thickening and medically approved in Canada and Singapore for hair regrowth. Again, even if it doesn't regrow hair, it will almost certainly make your hair look thicker and shinier. At $650, it's expensive, but it's a one-time purchase. You can find out more at http://www.hairmax.com

The third thing you can use is Nizoral shampoo. 1% Nizoral is non-prescription and can be purchase almost anywhere. 2% Nizoral is prescription, but it can be bought all over the net without a prescription. If you can't find a place to purchase it, let me know, and I'll post a link. Nizoral is also proven to regrow hair. Use Nizoral three times a week, but also use a good conditioner on those days as it tends to dry out your hair.

These three treatments are not gender-specific like finasteride is. They work in different ways, so using all three is likely to be more helpful than using anyone individually, it seems to me.

You could also try using Head & Shoulders poo on your non-nizoral days. Several studies show that users of 1% pyrithione zinc poo had more hairs in the anagen (growth) phase. However, H & S can make your hair look thin so try using the "Extra Fullness" flavor.

Neutrogena T/Sal is good to use on your nizoral days to help remove scale so your topicals (nizoral, H & S, Folligen, minoxidil) will penetrate more effectively.

1000 mg of MSM and 4000 mg of flax seed oil can also thicken your hair up.

Deep conditioning daily.

There are many things you can do! Good luck!
