So im getting worried as it might be doing my harm than good. I am expecting a shed, but doesn't a shed just usually the follicle/hair coming out or does the hair get weaker and weaker and weaker and then fall out? - I don't know how long I am going to give it, but my hair hasn't been a very good responder to minoxidil. Help please

If you are using minoxidil for the first time, then you should have just tried regular minoxidil first to see how you respond. You would have saved a lot of money on generic minoxidil. These variations of minoxidil are mostly marketing gimmicks, and work to the extent that they have the important proven ingredient which is minoxidil. When you first start minoxidil, you should instantly feel your hair strong and no falling in shampoo etc. UNTIL about 2 to 3 weeks when the shed (of even terminal hair) arrives and it could be very disheartening to see yourself in mirror specially if you already have thin hair. BUT, good news is that hair does come back with vengeance
which brands do you class as regular minoxidil mentalist? My hair at the front is becoming like straw and is getting weaker and its effecting now towards the inside, I really don't think minoxidil is doing me any favours, just think its making it weaker, I need to see if dutasteride can tackle the DHT first as minoxidil wont make difference otherwise.

Sorry, but I don't remember your regimen. I only responded to what you were already doing as posted here. Any minoxidil will do. Kirkland brand being most common and incredibly inexpensive on ebay. Refer us to your regimen with full history again to see if I or someone can comment on what may be done. It sounds like your case is a hard one to respond or you are being impatient not giving enough time to one treatment.
