I've been on minoxidil for 6 years with no regrowth then 6 months ago I added in spironolactone cream s5 once a day and am getting some of the hair back I have lost over the past 2 years. The only negative is the fact that it is turning my grey hair yellow.

Your post has 0 (zero) credibility. No one believed this nor gave any credit. The idea that topical spironolactone regrew hair... that claim is hilarious lol. Heck even spironolactone alone taken orally does nothing to fight hair loss despite some claims. You need transgender medication and even then it's not guaranteed to either regrow or keep your hair.

^this post also has no credibility. i use s5 cream, and i'd say that the jury is still out from my experiences, but to say that the idea that topical spironolactone regrew hairs is insane is in itself insane. the cream is supposed to act as a dht blocker. if you're protecting dht from attacking your follicles, then there's a chance that your weaker hairs which are no longer visible can regrow stronger, giving the appearance of regrowth.

look around this forum, and you'll find people who also claim to have experienced positive results from s5.

Right and Nizoral regrew some hairs too... doesn't happen! It's just your mind playing tricks, how many times have I read "I'm seeing some new vellus hairs"? Guess what, they were always there, only exception would be if you're using minoxidil which will make all those hairs longer. You need to take high quantities of spironolactone orally to it even do anything. Topical is tricky because of the vehicle which I'm sure is not very efficient on the S5 cream.

You guys are free to spend your money on anything but I don't like when people post these claims without any proof.

this guy just also discounted Nizoral as having any positive effects for hairloss treatment... yeah, you're SUPER credible -- tell this to the 100's of people on the board who swear by Nizoral shampoo use as part of the big 3 to combat hairloss. this is hilarious.

I agree with rezo here
there is peoples lives and money and health on the stake here
a lot of these people are so desperate you couldnt even imagine, theyd potentially do anything to get their hair back
making thoes kind of claims without backing them up at least by pictures is not right and iresponsible .
plus it makes you look either like an idiot, or like someone that promotes some product in thos case s5 cream

Nizoral has zero anecdotal evidence of regrowing any hair, its part of the so called "big three" is questionable and debatable at best. I can see of it being of some use because our sebaceous glands are enlarged and producing copious amounts of sebum which will translate into the itch, the problem here is that keto and nizoral are so harsh that it may cause even more scalp irritation so like I said it's debatable. There's like a cult over keto and nizoral, I'm not a fan and in my opinion you don't need it if you don't have dandruff or scalp fungus, it won't regrow any more hair than finasteride and minoxidil won't.

finasteride and minoxidil work the best together, you can add more treatments, remove more DHT but that won't translate into more if those follicles are too miniaturized.

Topical spironolactone from word of mouth is too weak but if you think it's doing something then do what you want. To me this isn't even worth to talk about, it's time we moved past these weak treatments, if something doesn't stop hair loss or regrow a decent amount of hair I don't care about it.

Resu, I'm sorry you feel my post has no credibility. What I wrote is my experience though. I'm not selling anything or acting as anyone's shill. Next time someone asks for personal experiences on treatments I will keep mine to myself, that's not very helpful to the community but I don't appreciate the insinuation that I am a liar.
