Well, I'm gonna give this spironolactone shampoo a try. Where do you guys recommend ordering spironolactone tabs from? I noticed CCS says that 5% of the total amount of fluid should be the sprio tabs? Ex. 500ml = 25ml of spironolactone tabs? I could use a little clarification on this though.

Say I want to make small batches...probably 100ml = 5ml of spironolactone tabs? Anyone else wanna give this a go with me? I think it could really be a good addition to one's regiem. Also does anyone have any idea what percentage this concoction would yield in regards to spironolactone strength? Ex. is it as strong as 2% or 5%?

I'm horrible at math and could really use some guidance as to the specific amounts needed. Anyone who could help out would be doing many members a favor...What goes around comes around folks!

is the Moogoo shampoo a necessity? Its just that the company doesn't ship outside of Oz at the moment.
Would it work if the tablets were mixed with Nizoral or any baby shampoo?
I'm a diffuse thinner and currently putting spironolactone over my entire scalp. Its time consuming, messy and extremely expensive, so the shampoo option sounds great for me.

They use the least irritating foamer of all: capric glucoside.
They use piroctame olamine, and anti-oxidant and edible disinfectant that grows hair as well as keto in nizoral.
Cheap: $9 for 500mL. That is like 3 bottles of nizoral.

What shampoo are you talking about CCS?

I think he is talking about the Oz shampoo 'Moogoo', but Oz aren't shipping it overseas at the moment.
CCS is Nano suitable?

speak for yourself. I never said that.

NANO would probably react with spironolactone, since minoxidil does, and NANO is similar to minoxidil.

moogoo is not necessary for the spironolactone, but it is a much better shampoo. Even if you are not worried about irritation from SLS, the moogoo has piroctame olamine in it, which is as good as the keto of nizoral, and synergistic. It also has alantoin it in.

I had a look and its not cheap (not extortionate either), its $45 for 120ml. Also it seems you have to pay to have a consultation as its a prescription drug.
I'd prefer to try making my own.

I was about to order spironolactone cream but since I'm diffuse thinning, i'm also thinking of giving this shampoo a try. Can anyone finalize the receipe for us, who want to try this?

Final thoughts of Bryan, Michael Barry, CCS etc regarding this??

Thanks!

I could be wrong and I apologize up front if I am but I think the original poster is scamming everyone. This is not the first time someone has brought up the idea of spironolactone shampoo on this forum. Note that he indicates he was first laughed at by those knowledgeable in hairloss treatments at the notion of spironolactone shampoo and now take a look at the below link.

I think the posters are the same person (note both from Australia, both using minoxidil on temples, hmmmmm) and he's trying to make his idea of spironolactone shampoo seem possible. Not to mention "Dr Grow" wasn't exactly on good terms with folks here. Again, I could be wrong, but it's something to think about.

I think nizoral may be acidic enough for the spironolactone. I'd hate to risk precipitating Keto, though. So use only 1% spironolactone.

Other thoughts: if a clean scalp absorbs best, wash your hair first, leave just enough suds so your normal spironolactone lathers just a bit and spreads easy on your still wet scalp, leave in for 15 minutes, then rinse it out.

Also note that your scalp can only absorb so much at a time. That is why I don't apply minoxidil right after my nizoral wash. I don't want any keto getting extracted back out.

I'm thinking of adding spironolactone to my nizoral, and applepoly to my NANO.

For a 180mL bottle, I don't want to add more than 2g of this stuff. For apple poly, I'd add more water. Yeah, and I have a little minoxidil in my NANO too.

Note: I find it hard to believe he regrew 40% of his density just with an AR blocker.

one final point:

do not count on these shampoos as wonder cures to replace propecia. You still need propecia. These shampoos are just extras that let you get a bit more improvement with no extra hassel.

I want to put apple poly in my shampoo just to make sure I get it regularly, and don't slack of on the topical or go outside with messy hair. It may not be as strong as the topical, but it is a lot better than nothing.

where did you hear that? I see no problem applying say minoxidil, then 15 mins later applying spironolactone or folligen after. In fact many shampoo with nizoral then towell dry their hair and apply foam or tricomin etc...
