spironolactone side effects?

According to Dr. Rassman on the Balding Blog, spironolactone has even worse sexual side effects than propecia. Is this true? Are there any spironolactone users that can confirm or deny this?

Thats right when you use it oral. Because it blocks ALL androgens from binding to the receptors. But as a topical it should be pretty safe and side-effect free.
