Hey everyone, love the information and support here, as in a very real sense we're all in this together. (If you'll forgive the corniness in that statement) So now that I'm well over a month into wearing getting use to and dealing with a system, my second in fact, I have to say it's been a journey so far!
I tried doing it myself, only using a salon to install but no go, I don't have the skill or the talent to do so... Which is to say I'm just going to let the salon take care of the install and maintenance \ care and go from there. That's where this thread comes in.
One of the main things I'd like to take care of and lock down once and for all is 'spot repairing' when it lifts at the hairline. There was a lot of trial with the first system and I'm doing better with the second, but noticing that in less than a week and right in the middle, the french lace is lifting... After a wash, a good portion to the right was lifting as well, which was fine in a way because I need to be able to get use to doing this on the go. I went through the procedure y'all are probably use to, and did so using Walker's glue.
A day later it's lifting again; though it may have something to do with the fact that the system is actually attached to my existing hair and not the scalp. (On my stylist's recommendation, which I'm going to request adhering it to the scalp next time.) Either way, I'd like anyone's thoughts or suggestions on what's good to spot repair a lift or separation at the hairline... That might last a reasonable amount of time as opposed to a day.
Please ask anything you like, and thank you in advance!
@Hair Newbie - Hey, yes that's what I used for the spot repair! Naturally I forget what they use at the salon, I'm going back tomorrow, so then I wonder if there are better options out there for spot repair... What do you use?
