acne wont get better on finasteride or dutasteride. I asked numerous dermatolgists about this issye, as I suffer with mild acne as well, and they said finasteride or dutasteride will not make it better. one of the doctors even said, if thats was the case, then the fda would of approved it for acne as well.


testosterone I think is the main hormone for acne. then again alot of doctors have told me acne is not hormonal. no one knows lol

Guys,

I've also been on minoxidil for almost 9 months now. I only apply it on my temples, since that is my problem area.

What i notice is my temples have receeded even more!! The minoxidil is really killing my temples... I should have noticed some kind of maintanance or regrowth by now, right?

Should I stop minoxidil, or keep applying it 2x daily?

yeah, but I only use it on my temples. and since there are a lot of people here on this forum who had succes on minoxidil... (I am thinking you are just a bad responder)

I only apply the minoxidil to my temples, since that is my problem area, and I really don't know what to think about it... it's been almost 9 months on minoxidil and finasteride/ dutasteride :s

I really notice that my sexdrive/libido has diminished in the past 9 months. I don't have any problems down there, I just notice that I don't have the urge to have sex as I use to.

I'm just hoping my temples recover from the sheds I had. I'd be super happy if this would happen...

If only I could predict the future i'd maybe stop worrying about this hair loss thing

You made a mistake initially; you should have been applying minoxidil twice a day. You only use it once a day (as maintenance) after a year or two. Now that you have recently started using the right amount, you are experiencing a normal minoxidil shed. The sore eye lids is also a side of minoxidil. I forget whether that is a temporary effect though.

I did start of with applying minoxidil once a day. But that was just for the first 4,5 months, I then switched to applying it 2x daily. So I can't seem to figure out why I am not seeing any positive sighns.. :s

I QUIT MINOXIDIL 2 DAYS AGO ! ! ! I really don't want to apply it anymore on my temples, all it has done these past 9 MONTHS is thin them out further !!!
I do believe people when they say give it 12 months, but at 9 months I should at least see some kind of regrowth or maintanance ... nothing nada niente !!! no positive signs whatsoever!
i'm really fed up with minoxidil so i'm quitting it, thank you minoxidil for speeding up my temple loss 10 times the normal rate ! THANK you!
