I've read and searched this site.... I have 100 solutions to my thinning hair and hair loss . I was on propecia before, stopped it after being disatisfied and now that I'm convinced, my doctor prescribed finestride.

OTHER than concealers, What should I supplement my finasteride with to regrow hair?

I was thinking ROGAINE FOAM and some sort of shampoo.

Can someone on here who has used finasteride, ROGAINE FOAM and some shampoo for thinning hair please confirm or guide me?

Also, can someone suggest a name of a shampoo for me to use?

I've read so much on here and the results seem to vary, I just want to know what seems to be the common successor here.

.

The big three -

finasteride (that your on)
Rogaine (use the liquid not the foam, it is more effective)
Nizoral shampoo (3 times a week)

These are the main ones.

Others that you could throw in are -

Pregaine shampoo (made my Rogaine) for the days you aren't using Nizoral.
Omega-3 once a day
MSM 1500 mg a day
Vit C 500 mg a day

Thats my regimen anyway and is probably the best you can do.

get the 2% nizarol...

you are still young (kinda!) so get on big 3 and you will respond well (younger people tend to respond better than older - but not always the case)....

i think you will be a good candidate for finasteride (0.5 to 1 mg), minoxidil (5%) and nizarol (2%)

you might also want to try dutasteride (0.5 mg once or twice a week)

you will thank me later... you can send the flowers and money to my home address!

Mj9, my Nizoral doesn't have a percentage, it's in a red and white box and says Ketoconazole 20mg/g???? Is this the 2 per cent stuff?

Question:

About two weeks ago I made the switch after several years from Propecia to Finpecia (InnHousePharmacy.com) by Cipla. Last nights shower I found 7 to 10 strands while washing hair. Now I don't know if this is a new phenomenon or not. I generally don't inspect for hair strands while washing my hair, but because I switched to Finpecia, I am somewhat unnerved.
Anyone experience this type of situation? Is this something to be concerned with or is it just some sort of "adjustment" from one source of finasteride to another?

I sincerely appreciate everyone response. Can I ask you for a favor mj9 or anyone reading...... Can you please post a picture of which nizoral everyone is talking about???

Images.google.com just type in nizoral and you get a bunch of different ones, just a reference to which one would be appreciated.

Also, is the rogaine foam really more effective?? Please explain/guide me.

Thanks everyone
