I have started Finpecia finally due to my aggressive hair loss, I have gotten the 5mg one and cut it into quarters. Will keep you guys updated on any side effects or anything like that.

Stupid idea IMO, at 16 androgens still have a huge effect on you developing into a man.

I hope you're happy with the way you currently look, because not many things will change into early adulthood.

I'm not just talking about a beard. I finished puberty young, maybe around 15, but during the transition into adulthood many things are still changing that you haven't even thought about, and ****ing around with your hormones during this time period will have a life long impact.

I am nervous to be ****ing around with my hormones at 27. Don't know how wise it is to be doing it at 16. There must be a reason the drug is 18+ no?

I ain't seen sh*t develop in my body in the past two years except my hair loss which you wouldn't believe was of a sixteen year olds if you saw me. The reason of cours, for it being 18+ is hormonal development but I had a word with my gp and he said I could try it but should stop if I see side effects. Facing hair loss at 27 is a laugh, your body is completely developed, the least you can do is try finasteride and stop if you see any side effects

Things that I noticed were jaw, chin and cheekbone growth, penis growth, penis growth, voice continued to deepen, and I grew about two inches from 15-19.

If you can look at yourself in the mirror and honestly think that you will be content with the way you look and yourself in your 20s/30s/40s , then I'd say go for it. Just remember, finasteride and dutasteride won't last for life, and if you could potentially go bald and have the face of a teenager instead of a man. It sounds nice, but trust me, it won't be.

The decision is yours.

Haha bro if you saw you'd think I'm 22/23, not saying I'm proud of these features but that's how I look. One guy guessed I was 27 and I was thinking f*ck me. But currently I'm content with the he way I look and having more hair would really help me look younger. Appreciate the answer though man thanks

Honestly would just trial finasteride for 6-8 months and if it clearly isn't doing anything then drop it. To be honest I wish I had access to finasteride at 16.

Do what you want man. These people don't understand what it is like to be a teenager with aggressive diffuse thinning

Until you experience your first episode of erectile dysfunction, its easy to dismiss the possibility that it will happen to you.

I was on finasteride for several months and my erections have never been the same. That was 15 year ago.

You're changing the chemistry of your whole body in order to address a few square inches on your head.

Is it better to have hair to attract girls and not be able to sleep with them, or go bald and still be able to sleep with girls?

DHT is an incredibly potent androgen. At the age of 16, you are still at a prime time to grow, and inhibiting DHT would only make things worse.

Why not just give minoxidil a try? It has really worked for me. I have hypothyroidism so I'm hoping once I get that treated I will get even better results. Bottom line: you're too young. Try minoxidil with low level laser therapy and keto shampoo

Without hormone tests to see what levels you have it is impossible to say if it is good or bad. You definitely don't want to be overweight though.
