Hi! I'm 27 years old male and I'm afraid that I started male pattern baldness. I didn't consult with any doctor yet.

I'm new to this forum and didn't start any medication yet.
I'm thinking about starting using rogaine everyday.
- Will I be able to maintain my current hairline with rogaine? I read about finasteride but I'm really scared of it's side effect.
- Is it too early now to consider hair transplant?

You have a good head of hair for your age I doubt any girl would notice. If you have male pattern baldness you need to address the main cause which is androgens. Rogaine will not do this. Read up on the guide on this site. Personally, if I were just starting to bald I'd jump on finasteride 1mg/day and nizoral shampoo- easy and proven regimen. It's your call though as most of us here are not medical professionals. Good luck whatever u choose

and btw with that head of hair I wouldn't even think about a transplant....unless there is something ur not showing us like a bald spot in the back.

Hair loss is very common now days in both male & female. Because we don't know actual reason of hair loss. A Lot of Home remedies & Natural treatment are there to get rid of all hair problems. But In our busy schedule , No one have time to do all this thing. So simply consult with Dr. for your problem before It's too late. Because there is many option to treat hair fall , Not only Hair Transplant.

I wouldn't worry if I were you. It may just be your hairline becoming mature. However, keep an eye out for a few months.

i will suggest you to go for consultation before using any hair products ..doctor will tell either you should go for hair transplant or not and which is right hair product for your level of hair fall.

You have pretty nice hair. It looks like you may have male pattern baldness though. Get some consultation to make sure you are really balding and that you not just have a mature hairline (the hair line can still change as you age). If you are only at this stage now there is a good chance that you will be able to maintain that hair line for a long time.
