Started To Avoid Mirrors Recently For My Own Mental Good

Receeding hairline, nasolabial folds deeper than the grand canyon, sunken eyes like the titanic..basically a leatherface in the making..

Its just too much. Avoid to be in pics aswell. Using a picture of alf for fb and whatsapp.

I need to minimize stress

I know what you mean. I found when i go into the bathroom I've started to look down at the floor not to catch myself in the mirror. If there were no mirrors or cameras the world would be a better place I'm sure.

Brushing teeth and shaving are the only times of the day when i cant avoid looking in mirrors ... stressful enough

I thought I looked good in my bathroom mirror. I was totally ignorant of my hair loss until I caught a glimpse of myself in a well lit nightclub mirror. I legit thought I was looking at somebody else for a while. I went from 'normal' hair to diffuse Norwood 5 in 1 minute.

That's why diffuse thinning is extra sh*t. You don't even realise you have it until it's too late.

That is painfully my life lol. In some mirrors I ook really good and the hair is okay. Now its nearly summer and looking in a car window with the sun shinning on my head makes me suizidal.

I need to minimize stress

I've been avoiding mirrors since I was a young teenager. That's decades of mirror avoidance for me now. It's a necessary strategy. If I could shave without looking in a mirror it would make my morning routine more pleasant.

Although I have to say the mirrors bother me much less since i got my hairline fixed.

I was on a road trip with this girl I've been dating over the weekend.

Afterwards I looked back at a photo she took of me, more or less a profile of my head. Temple recession is brutal. It looks like half the hair from the head is somehow missing. I can't believe how old I look at 29. I really feel old. I know that's a bad thing to say, but my hairloss make me feel that way. I feel like my youthfulness is somehow gone already.

going through videos on the network and I find one where I walk past, only a few months old.
it was like watching a beheading video, you end up watching it multiple times out of sheer horror and to wonder if it is actually real or not

"how the hell do I look like that?"
then your mind is put at ease somewhat when you think "it must just be the camera and the lighting and the angle, i don't look like that in real life"

but then you look at all the other people in the video and they all look identical to real life, so it must be how you really look

I know that feeling lol. We did a communication/body language exercise and of course, they had to record this sh*t. This women after asked me if I want to see myself. I told her: "Its a nice day today, no need to f*** that up".

My girlfriend now likes to makes selfies (which girl doesn) and I pull her phone always at an angle that people cant see my full head lol. Face like a 25-year-old with a head like a 35 year stressed banker. Suizid thoughts incoming.

Same. I look in the mirror and see someone else. It doesn't fit my personality. I'm not 40 year old....
