Starting minoxidil foam - Any tips for me?

Hey guys!
I will start using Kirkland minoxidil foam tomorrow when I finally receive it! I was planning on using it once a day at around 9 PM which is roughly three hours before I usually go to sleep. I read that minoxidil has a relatively long half-life and that therefore once a day is just as effective as twice a day. Is that true? For guys that use minoxidil foam - How long did it take you to see results? How long can I expect the shed to last? Any other tips that you have for me?

Okay. Let me try here. I have used both versions of minoxidil, foam and liquid and they seem to work equally. I never saw regrowth but I had excellent maintenance. Some see regrowth and If you don't, then we can move on to adding something called sulfurtransferase which is an enzyme that makes minoxidil much more potent. You are correct that once a day pretty much enough since the half-life is 21 hours or so. Now if you want more growth than we can either add sulfurtransferase, you can add derma-rolling or you can buy the Kirkland's liquid and measure drops out on your tongue which works best of all but you might not need it now. Minoxidil also comes in a pill form called Loniten which are cheap but then you need a prescription.

Hey thanks for your response! How do I go about adding sulfurtransferase to increase potency? I researched oral minoxidil but it seemed to cause systemic side effects that I don’t think I would be comfortable with during the long-term. Also I am already hairy as it is haha! Don’t want anymore body hair - only hair on my head!
Also I should add that I have been on Dutasteride 0,5 mg/day for 22,5 months and prior to that I was on finasteride 1 mg/day for 8 months. Didn’t really get any regrowth but have maintained the hair that I have...

All good points. Oral min grows hair everywhere, eye lashes, brows, beard, body hair so I am not thrilled with those aspects as an MtF but people seldom see those areas except the beard which I had removed but oral minoxidil brought it back some but I am taking a large dose at 12.5mg (equivalent of KIrkland's liquid. It sounds gross and it tastes bitter but it's literally for most guys six drops and for me, 12 drops. Except for estrogen, for many people, oral min grows hair better than anything. I have spent thousands on laser hair removal so no, that doesn't thrill me but it should dissipate when I move down in dosage.

Ah I see. You seem to have a great plan! Maybe you missed my question earlier, but how do I go about adding sulfurtransferase to increase potency?

Would tretinoin do?

I had to get some breakfast. Do a google search or I saw something on here in a press release where they sell sulfurtransferase either to mix with minoxidil or to put on one's scalp. That's what @bridgeburn did until he went on Loniten, which are the pill form of oral minoxidil. I am just telling somebody else the same thing but if you want to do it the easy way with no prescription and no mail order the secret is to use a dropper and put six to 12 drops on the back of your tongue. It definitely works and I know as an MtF because some of my hair that had been "removed" came back since laser only stunts for a long time. My eye lashes got big and pretty for lack of a better term. My beard was gone but peach fuzz started again and together with HRT, I can almost see a difference every day.

Once I declared victory, I started the thread in October to try to help others and maybe brag a little but I wanted people to see what an HRT recovery looked like in real-time. @Bridegeburn's thread is almost 700 pages now. I started there and then someone called me some foul name so I yanked my content and started my own thread as a play on words of Hair is Life because no suicides are going to happen on my thread so Hair is not life.
