Hi again!

I've been on minoxidil for about 4 months now with very good results. I am about to start on propecia when it arrives.

When I start on propecia, will I go through a shedding stage again and loose the hair that has regwown due to the minoxidil, or will it simply stop the hair I have regrown so far to go back to the dormant stage?

It is likley you may shed a little but it's anyones guess if you do or not. It's also anyones guess on how bad a shed could be. That's if you have one at all..

I did it, got pretty good results from regaine to. Been on finasteride for about 2.5 months and regaine near enough 8 months. I've shead abit, but then that could be cuz I stopped regaine at the crown and am now only using it at the front. Hopefully buy the summer I should be all sorted.

Yup, more or less. Everyone is different so it's a case of popping the pill and wait to see what happens.

word or werd exclamation 1. an affirmation of agreement. (Question: "I'm going to the movies tonight, dawg - you want to go?" Response: "Word!") Submitted by Slink, FL, USA, 02-04-1998. 2. It's a bit difficult to assess due to different lighting, length of hair and possibly color a bit (due to effects of the sun) on your pictures, but how would you describe your results in the specific areas? It looks like my situation a bit...

It is not normal for Propecia to cause shedding at any time during its use. Binding the type 2 5-alpha reductase does not cause a shift from anagen to telogen, so no shedding would be expected to occur.

Hey, hotlegs, my eyesight is a perfect 20/20 so no need for BIG BALD letters :p (PS! did you see what I did there with the bold/bald pun!)

Thanks for that info, made me very happy that I will (hopefully) keep the hair I've grown so far with minoxidil and hopefully force them to stay with the finasteride!

Cheers!!

I did exactly what you are doing, minoxidil 4 months then add finasteride.

My hair just keeps getting more and more dense. Keeping the fingers crossed, of course.
