Starting to bald at the crown? [Pics Attached]

Until recently I have very, very rarely viewed the back of my head via mirror. A few days ago, I decided to and the area around my crown has me freaking out. Currently 23 years old, just want to get another point of view.

I've done a good amount of research in the last few days and Finasteride seems to be the leading treatment for this type of potential issue. I am well aware of the possible side effects, but I'm already lacking in confidence and this delivered a buck-shot to what self confidence I had.

I've posted a few pictures of my crown, if more are needed or from a different angle, ect. I can upload more.

In short I would like to know if its just something not worth stressing over (Caused by haircut, cowlick, ect). Or if it could lead to something more.

I don't plan on purchasing Finasteride right off the bat, but it will remain a potential pathway. I have an appointment Saturday with my barber for a haircut, and with summer right around the corner, I plan on cutting it shorter (not crew cut short). On another note, I've read mixed reviews on the product "Nizoral". I plan to place an order this weekend, from what i've read, it couldn't hurt to at least try it out.

Any input (Good or Bad) is very much appreciated.

Yes, looks like male pattern baldness on the crown.

How about treating your hair loss right away with real hair loss treatments, at least Rogaine?

How's your hairline? Notice a density decrease overall? It probably is male pattern baldness but some people have a visible crown like that and aren't balding. If it progresses then yeah get on a dht blocker. Nizoral has a minor role in fighting hair loss but it wouldn't hurt to use it 2-3x a week.

It looks like the early start of male pattern baldness, but its not bad at all. If it bothers you,you could try some toppik fibres. You have a lot of hair so would only need a sprinkle.

Your hairloss in the area is too close for comfort; I think you need pictures of your temple frontal region for everyone to see to give any useful feedback
