been on finasteride and nizoral for almost 5 months. This last month my hair has seemed to have gotten a lttle worse. I'm gonna keep up with my meds. The things is my scalp and hair just feel different. I have never had dandruff ever in my life and the last few weeks there is actually noticeable flakes when i run my hand through my hair. My head still itches too. I just bought t sal and have used it once in my rotation with nizoral. I also bought the american crew kit and that seemed to help a little. I'm just concerned... my hair looks worse, my scalp itches and i have small amounts of dandruff... what do i do? whats going on with my head? anybody have similar problems? any help would be great

don't know the answer. I'd like to use an analogy however... Think of the hair (head) as a wound. At first, the wound is raw and bloody and over time the wound scabs over and then the scar diminishes. Think of hair as being a longer healing process that takes much more time.

You have weaker weapons (finasteride, nizoral) to promote the hair healing and growth while the body has it's own much stronger natural remedy to heal the wound. Keep with the treatments and think positive! You've heard of the placebo effect? It's just a pill of sugar that has contains nothing whatsoever to heal what ails a person, yet when 'beleived' that it does help, it's actually the mind making things better. If you have enough willpower and belief that you in fact have a great, full head of hair, it just may happen.

What is known is that only a small percentage of the human brain is ever used. We were never given an instruction manual to our brains. The potential is untapped and within, just may be the key to our hairloss problems. Just like a lizard can regrow it's tail, maybe we can regrow our hair.
