Hey, as im about to start finasteride, there is one thing that has been bugging me. Although im 23, Im am extremly skinny. And believe I have yet to fill out. Hopefully anyway! Would finasteride affect this? Or is filling out in your twenties not hormoan related? Motabolism maybe? Ive searched all over the web for answers to this but cant find anything. Hope someone here can help...

Thanks in advance

Let me know when you get the answer to that question! I'm pretty skinny as well. Goddamn high metabolism! :(

If u wanna fill out dont just wait for it go and do some filling out exercises (weight lifting)... you only get fat on your tummy with age.... I was 55kg then I turned 20, stopped playing sports and by about 25 I got to 65kg. I still look skinny but with a bigger tummy.

I dont think thats true, alot of people fill out naturally with age all over, not just tummy.
Anyway, my finasteride finally came today and Im debating whether to start it..., still cant find any information anywhere on this....

Does anybody know anywhere where I could find this out? Apart from my doctor because he wont prescribe this medication anyway. Somewhere on the web or something. Ive looked for hours but cant find anything.
Dont mean to keep bumping this thread but its important..

The fact that you can't find anything on the web is a good thing. Probably doesn't affect. I've been on Propecia for 15 months or so and am still gaining muscle from going to the gym.

you are supposed to gain muscle because it raises testosterone. When that testsosterone becomes estrogen you may grow something other than muscle.

You can always start on a reduced amount 0.5mg...still has very good DHT inhibit, less chance of sides.

no one is still in puberty at age 23.

I know, but I do know that some people grow "out" more even in mid to late 20's. Remember Morrisey lol. Hes filled out an awful lot with age. Not fat but bigger build.

well puberty is the important stage. i've seen your degree of hair loss and since that's severe and you're post puberty then you should talk to a doctor about finasteride.

yeah and don't worry about the effects of working out. you do get more testosterone, but it won't really have an effect unless you're a serious bodybuilder. going to the gym for an hour every other day will have infinitely more benefits than detriments.

Well I'm 20 I would still say I'm going through the latter stages of puberty. I've stopped growing now but I haven't bulked out yet, no have I stopped getting spots, and hairs on my chest etc (infact that's only just started). Might go and see the doctor myself.

It's hard to tell when guys stop growing. I'm 19 and have grown about half an inch in the past 7-8 months (I'm 5'10.5"). I still haven't finished filling out I know that.
