Hi all,
I'm a 24 years old guys, i have thin hair, i just cutted them short for valutate what i can do and how bad is the situation..
I followed a "cure" with Nioxin shampoo (the whole products, cleaner, scalp treatment, etc..) and some months of Bioscalin in pills, without see so much results, the only good thing is to have a clean skin for more days without itch.
I follow a healthy diet, trying to avoid fat food and fries, and sweets, no alcohol..but I'm a smoker..
I can post a picture of my hair if it's better for an advice, but can someone suggest me the real best product or more than one, to buy online (possibly) for try to save me before to lose all my hairs?
In my case it's a genetic problem, my father had done 3 transplant 15 years ago and now he looks not so good..
I would do a transplant if i will go to lose my hair, but this only in the future, after saved some money for do it.

Thanks in advance and have a nice day everybody!
Sorry for any mistake with the language, but i'm trying to improve my english :)

Get on finasteride and minoxidil
you need a prescription to get finasteride from your doctor (brand name propecia)
minoxdil you can get from store (brand name rogaine)
finasteride maintains/halts hair loss for 9/10 people for a period of time (depending on the person) and can regrow (if you are lucky)
minoxidil focuses on regrowth
together using those two can really do something for you.
your diet won't affect you much, maybe stop smoking

definitely get on minoxidil and finasteride though

thanks winnyblues, what a fast answer!
so i have to try buying these two products!
i found rogaine on eBay, actually i'm leaving in dublin, without my doctor, I can order it online and it's a good solution!
Do i have to continue to use Nioxin shampoo and cleaner or are only a waste of money? (they are expansive, 50€ 1 liter of shampoo, same price for the cleaner, and 20-30€ each product of this brand..)

After hours of research on this matter, I'm pretty certain the only things which can help you with hair loss are Finasteride, Minoxidil, Nizoral shampoo (although this is much weaker than the other two at combating hair loss), and a hair transplant. There are other things such as RU and Dutasteride but I don't think you'll want to get on those

brand name finasteride is called propecia but it costs alot more than the other one.. you should get your finasteride in person and not online because you'll know what you are getting. i highly recommend you go see a doctor and show them your hair loss and then ask for a prescription of finasteride and ask for proscar (i'm pretty sure thats the cheaper version (costs like 40 bucks in australia for 3-4 months worth which is really cheap))

I don't think shampoo and conditioners matter that much, just get on finasteride and minoxidil, they are the two main things to combat hair loss. 9/10 people on finasteride will maintain their hair for awhile, although its effectiveness tapers off over time but you should be a-OK for a while on it. There are possible side effects to finasteride and I recommend you look it up, but the side effects are very miniscule and the odds of you getting anything serious is seriously unlikely. Ive been on finasteride for 2 months and have only had watery semen so you should be ok.
minoxidil will make you regrow hair and also thicken hair if it works for you, so those together can at least slow down the progression of your hairloss and possibly make things better. But definitely get on those two things if you really wanna stop your hair loss for the next few years

I think winnyblues has gived very good advices. Above all in order to be cautious buying treatment and to go always to a dermatologist.
However, regarding finasteride you should be fully informed so as to do a conscious decision, they are not sugar pills. Your age is good to start it, but be aware of its action and possible sides and talk with your dermatologist your worries so as to eliminate contradictional information.

I would start first only with Minoxidil and Nizoral and if you want later to start finasteride, just do it. But it is the most aggresive of them.

because the adverse side affect of finasteride is that it reduces DHT production in your body by around 70% i think while dustasteride reduces it by 99% or something like that. DHT is the cause of hair loss. So by taking finasteride you are basically stopping the cause of hair loss. you get it??

But DHT is not only responsible of your hairloss, it is a hormone with lots of functions, it is a male hormone as testosterone but more powerful. So if you decide to take finasteride pay attention if you have sides, and if you experience them it is adviceble to quit, but the decision is only up to you.

You know all you have to know. The 3 treatments more useful are ketoconazol, minoxidil and finasteride. Finasteride is the most effective in average, but also the most tricky.

Now go to a dermatologist :)
