Stop with minoxidil after 3-4 weeks?

Hi hair-watchers,

I'm using minoxidil 2 % for 3-4 weeks now. I did not know the hairloss would be heavy in the beginning. I do know that that is normal (shedding), but at this moment it is for me personally not a great time to lose hair. I would rather like it to start the treatment with minoxidil in a year.

If I stop now, when will the old situation be back again?

I already read that stopping with treatment old situation returns after 3-4 months, but that is only after lengthy treatment. I have only used it 3-4 weeks. Will the old situation return quicker in my case?

I don't think that you've been using Minoxidil long enough for it to have any long term detrimental effect on your hair if you stop taking it at this stage. I used Minoxidil 5% and after a minor shed early on regrew a little hair and didn't suffer any sheds after I stopped using it a few years later.
