Stopping Minoxidil After Dread Shed

Hey guys I was on accutane for 2 years low dose from 2013-2015. Since stopping, my hair has been thinning slowly but surely. None of my family/ relatives had balding so I'm sure it is accutane induced chronic Telogen Effluvium. Regardless, I tried minoxidil about a month ago because my scalp is starting to show. My hair started to shed CRAZILY a week ago. Just brushing my hand across my hair now drops 20 hair or so. I figured i was losing more than 1000 hairs per day. The thinning is getting worse and I stopped minoxidil because my doctor said it wasn't normal shedding as well.

How long till my shedding stops? Is this an allergic reaction to minoxidil? A pharmacist friend told me shedding should stop 3-5 days after.

Man I think I have the worst luck with medications. I'm so scared of finasteride sides. I hope minoxidil did not speed up my balding and I just want my hair back - it is ok for me to lose it slowly but I think the past week I dropped probably 1 year worth of loss.

There is a study that proves overtime 0.5mg of Finasteride has the same effectiveness of 1mg finasteride once it reach it's max potential within the body.

Minoxidil is nothing more than a long con scheme of momentary gratification.

Those gains will fade, without finasteride.

I know this of course - thats why i stuck it out for a week. But I swear it is over 1000 hairs per day. Even my doctor was worried.

Ever considered oral minoxidil? I'm considering it.

Minoxidil works good with finasteride or dutasteride.

Minoxidil morning and night. Plus .5 dermapen for absorbtion every morning. 1.5 mm dermapen once a week.

I take Sawpalmetto(blocks dht), Pygeum(blocks dht), biotin. Coconut oil+cayenne pepper oil mixture every day or other day for 30 minutes or more.(cayenne blocks cannibinoids from marijuana use, which can cause hair loss. And it stimulates new hair growth).

I use an inversion table about 15 to 30 minutes a day spread out in like 5 minute increments.

I massage coconut oil with a brush on my scalp for around 10 minutes a day or other day. Brush or fingertips. Doesnt matter.
Also I do fingernail rubbing around 10 minutes a day throughout the day.(stimulates the hair follicles).

May I ask where the study is showing 0.5mg is as effective as 1mg?
