Can the hairloss caused by stress be permanent? Has anyone in this forum been diagnosed with Alopecia Areata that became permanent? I read this condition isnt genetic like the other diagnosis and can even make you totally bald if the patches overlap. Does this mean people with GAD (General Anxiety Disorder) are at risk?

to those who were diagnosed with it did you experience it in your childhood and then it came back or did its first occurence happen in your adulthood?

It is possible you inherited both genetic conditions. Typically stress will exacerbate every known condition under the sun and yes may even trigger an earlier onset. This is not an absolute there are always exceptions. Your proactive spirit and diligence are the best offense against this complex problem.

I'm sorry if I presumptuously personalized your inquiry. I hope you or anyone experiencing AA symptoms first get themselves a proper diagnosis. This course of action is always the wisest first and foremost. All the best.

Agreed with ID walker. it's important to talk to your doctor before coming to any conclusions.
