Hello guys. I am 19. I recently had a hair cut. A week ago. Ever since I had hair cut I have started losing hair. And I don't know how but in only a week hair loss at my crown has become prominent. There is no hair loss from side ways but hair has got thin on the front and visible at the crown. I have dandruff problem as well. So, is the cause of my hairfall just dandruff or is it telogen effluvium. I don't have male pattern baldness history in my family. My grandfather had perfect hair at the time of his death and my father , 52 still has proper hair. My maternal grand father lost his hair in his old age. Is there any chance of male pattern baldness. And, the hair that I have lost due to dandruff, will it regrow? How to know if I have telogen effluvium. Please help

Hi man, hairloss is not a thing in my family, just like you, that's why i didn't believe it at first, but i still got it

Yours seems agressive, just relax and go for minoxidil and propecia.

peace

when hair loss happens that rapidly and you have no family history of it, you need to investigate if it's telogen effluvium. visit a dermatologist asap.

Yeah get to a dermatologist. Sometimes male pattern baldness can pop out of nowhere even if you don't have a family history of it. My next door neighbor is 28 and diffuse NW6 and all his fathers on both sides of his family are NW1 in their 60s. If it is not telogen effluvium, then welcome to the Norwood Death Club.

Look like typical male pattern baldness....vertex thinning is often the first sign.

I think telogen effluvium is noticed by a BIG amount of loss and it become visible all over the scalp, even side and back in no time. He has a obvious vertex thinning, that's male pattern baldness.

Like i said don't trust the scalp of your fathers, all my uncles are Norwood 0, one of my cousin was slick bald at 22, and i'm thining slowly on a Norwood Lebron.
