I mean, i've seen people say Nizoral (a freaking shampoo) killed their dicks, and i've also seen other anecdotes warning people that topical minoxidil can cause impotence. If i believe these, i can believe Saw Palmetto to have a significant effect on the body to cause gyno in short amounts of time.

Saw Palmetto, does nothing major like finasteride's sides or dutasteride's sides, and it wouldn't even help against hairloss for the majority of time. It is very overestimated (just like dutasteride was when it first came out).
Man you guys need to think. Ummm did you know there are plenty of guys that get gyno without the use of anti androgens such as saw pallmetto, finasteride etc?!...so something as weak as saw palmetto can certainly tip the scale to gyno.

Sure, and something as weak as a shampoo can cause you to get ED.

I know finasteride causes gyno to very minimal users, yes. Saw palmetto, ehhh maybe ?? What we're speaking of here is not how it causes gyno, it's how it has developed in 3 weeks. It doesn't even block 5AR to the same extent as finasteride..

Let's agree to disagree... and keto is pretty potent. It goes systemic for some people...I am one. Used it for years with no issues. Kept dabbling with finasteride even though it didnt agree with me and it ultimately led to major crash. Ever since, I get sides when I try keto shampoo. So yes it goes systemic and a few will react to it. Most will not.

Enough people on propeciahelp that had the same side effects from saw palmetto as fina.

An anti androgen is an anti androgen.
finasteride isn't even considered an anti-androgen. All it does is block the useless DHT (and not even fully). It actually increases T, which is the main important hormone for a man.

Ketoconazole is a potent anti-androgen in serveral ways. It stops the conversion from (forgot the name) into testosterone and it somehow shuts down your balls. It also acts on the androgen receptors to some lesser degree. Its literally used by trannies for transitioning.

It's actually used also after penis, balls and prostate surgeries to keep the penis dead until recovery. It's true that not the shampoo but considering that the head skin is very thin, depending on the individual of course, it could go a little bit systemic. I really think it's very very very rare, but i really think also that it could affect some unlucky users in some way, you can't actually know each individuals sensitivity, skin tissue thickness and so on. But the concentration in the shampoos are usually 1%, maybe the 2% could cause some concern in some but i really think it's rare...

I think there has been an assumption that i got gyno within 3 weeks with using saw palmetto. Or a miscom. This aint true. I stated that it shouldnt be disgarded that OP got it within 3 weeks. For myself and Saw Palmetto i had no issues until i increased the dose to 5 times a week after a fair amount of time. I didnt get a lump. I didnt get full on breast. But the breast tissue was tinteling. Soft and just different. I asked my girlfriend and she saw it too. I stopped taking it because it got to me and al returned to normal.

There is no danger from topical ketoconazole. What i described in that post is for oral ketoconazole. Trannies use much higher dosages to transition. I think pharma grade ketoconazole is like 200mg per pill.
If ketoconazole went systemic to any significant degree, it wouldnt be sold over the counter. Imagine the damage you could do to males.

Im not saying keto goes systemic. I dont know. But i think we underestimate what or what not can go systemic. Some people may get side effects and some may not. Everybody is different. Offcourse placebo effect is real too.

Yes i think you are right, that's why i said that i think it would be a very very very rare case if something from that 1 or 2% shampoo would get systemic, maybe even if it did the impact would be close to 0, considering the small amount that could slip. But i don't think it's the case also, maybe some very rare and unique case of the thinnest head skin in the world, who knows...

Technically, finasteride is an indirect anti-androgen with its mechanism being to block 5AR. It’s barely an anti-androgen since it raises testosterone levels to make up for the lack of DHT, which makes its anti-androgen name questionable to me.

Saw Palmetto seems to be completely underestimated. Data shows it doesnt lower DHT serum levels, but there is some other kind of AA activity. There is just too many people who report typical finasteride sides from it. For some people, Saw is just complete castration performed in a few days, thats how strong it seems to be. And its really good at keeping the prostate size at bay.
There is no way theres not some significant anti-androgen activity going on, but i just dont know which kind. Wish we could apply it topically somehow.
