My mom has parksonsins disease. She will be dead within 5 years. I don't have a dad. I'll be all alone. I'm not trying to sound all depressed. I'm just saying how fucked this is

I go to church to cope with these matters and other existential/spiritual concerns. Consider converting to orthodox christianity. Everybody will die at some point. But you are never completely alone unless you choose it thats what I have learned. Im sorry for your situation though

Yea I never realized how lucky I was. Never was shamed for being short cuz I was in shape and had great hair. Hair > height with a good face. I literally lost the only thing that allowed me to live a normal life.

You really just cope and will even when you are actually bald ? You're fine with possible living alone for the rest of your life ? You find enough joy in life to keep going even though you have never had a relationship? I always thought I was strong willed but idk about this one. Props to you man.

It's the benefit of having pessimistic depressed disciplined attitude all these years. But it has definetely backfired now with baldness.

Women hate what I am they dont wanna be near me they consider me repulsive. I have been told by friends that I have great discipline and spirit but women dont want that they want some fake confidence bozo.

My point is, don't be too quick with statements like "good face > height". It depends on what you're after.

What I don't like about this forum is, that everybody talks permanently about how fucked they are. But there is no information about what you can do. If not for the German forum I might have lost my hair waiting for Brotzu.

I attached the first study I found.
If you add up the numbers of patients who worsened you arrive at about 10% non responders on finasteride.
For those 10% adding dutasteride would have helped in 90% of the cases. (Google yourself.)
The remaining 1% is guys like Fred, but even he made it work with a transplant.

Annother study payed by the pfs-foundation showed that only a small single digit number of patients got serious side effects that didn't go away.

Finally @hellouser, who had super aggressive thinning in his early 20s (I guess) is maintaining now for years on his side - free regimen of RU, minoxidil, dermarolling Seti and Licl.

So it's very probable that you maintain if you hit hard now.


I don't know exactly how aggressive your thinning is (i, too thought I would be bald by now six months ago), but I think it's too early to throw the towel.
