Hi all,
I recently did a thread re wearing helmets / hats and the effect it may have on hair loss. I knew before it was pretty much regarded as a myth but I thought I would get some peoples opinions.
I would also like to hear what people think re a sweaty scalp. My workplace doesn’t have a car park so I switch between paying for parking and cycling in. Because I don’t live that far away, I mostly cycle in. I usually work up a small sweat but there are no shower facilities at work. I quickly cool down, do my days work, cycle home, then hit the gym. This means I’m working up a sweat on the scalp at about 8am and my hair is not being washed until I finish at the gym at about 8pm.
I know sweat won’t affect levels of DHT and maybe I am becoming too neurotic but my hair definitely seems to be thinning at the front and would like people’s opinions. Even though I’m only sweating a bit and I quickly cool down, its 12 hours before the hair is washed (8am – 8pm). I wash at the sink with a flannel when I get into work and wet my hair but it doesn’t get a proper clean.
I know most people’s replies will be a little bit of sweat can’t harm hair but I’m definitely thinning so I want to be as careful as possible. I’m currently using minoxidil 12.5% and Nizoral so don’t want to diminish their effects.
Thanks for reading.
