I started taking Finpecia from Inhouse last December due to budget issues and not having health insurance. I was on it for 6 months with no noticeable results, but no major changes to my hair either. I assume that it was doing its job and maintaining.
Back in late July I decided to switch to Fincar. My reasoning was that I would be saving money (money has been really tight), I still didn't have health insurance, and I would be paying the same amount for something like 2 extra months of the product. Win, right?
Ever since I made the change my hair has been pretty awful. At least in the last month or so I've noticed it going back to the same dry, thin, wiry consistency it had around the hairline when I first started taking Finpecia. At this point it has me at a loss. Am I experiencing a shed? I'm not noticing a physical change in hairfall. Was changing my routine a bad idea? I always intended to eventually get on prescription Proscar once I had insurance, but I figured originally that Finpecia was better because I wouldn't have to split pills. Now I realize I should have gone for Fincar at the beginning. :/ (Although maybe I got a bad batch too... grr, I need to get to the doctor and get Proscar...)
Has anyone else experienced this?
