Switching back to finasteride

Hey everyone, I was hoping someone could shed some light on this. Due to basically being broke I can't afford to buy dutasteride online anymore and I'm forced to switch back to finasteride. I was using 0.5mg dutasteride for about 4 months and I didn't really see much difference in my hair.

However I know it's stronger than finasteride so I'm curious should I expect my hair to get worse if in fact the dutasteride was maintaining my hair? Of course I have no way to be sure that it was but I'm worried since finasteride suppresses less DHT than dutasteride.

That's a good deal, if my hair gets worse in the next month I'll probably buy some.

Finasteride was causing some sexual side effects. I stopped finasteride once to see if it was all in my head or not, my sex drive exploded. I got back on 0.25 mg of finasteride (lower dose) for a while and saw regrowth again, but the sides were there, only about half as annoying. I upped the dose for a while and the sides eventually started to get worse again, I stopped and everything has returned to normal (including shedding in the temple area GRRRR, but it was expected)

I decided to give dutasteride a try because there are a lot of anecdotal reports of people that had sides on finasteride, but none on dutasteride, likely because the mechanism that dutasteride works through is different (entirely different chemical, obviously).

Just took my first 0.5mg pill today, no side effects, everything seems OK. I was expecting ball ache by the time the day was half through. My scalp has not itched at all today either.

While I didn't grow everything back on finasteride, it definitely stabilized my hair and slowly caused regrowth. Hoping to see the same with dutasteride..only with less sides, or none at all.

I ordered the brand name "Dutagen" and so far today have not seen any side effects. Is it legit? I see a few things about Duprost that sound pretty negative.

Wish I had ordered Dutas by Dr Reddy, it seems to be the most popular and sounds very legit.

I wouldn't put too much stock in people bashing the different generics, as long as they have the same ingredients they're gonna be the same I think. Like I side I took duprost for about 4 months and my hair basically maintained and I did have some sides initially, I had a raging sex drive the day after my first dose and some legit ball aches the following weeks.

Btw I'm a little irked that no one has addressed the question in my original post but it's okay I guess, I'll update my success stories thread if I see any changes in the next few weeks or months.

Honestly if you saw no improvement on dutasteride, and it was the same as it was with finasteride, I would just go back on finasteride.

any update? am kind of being forced back into getting back onto dutasteride from finasteride owing to my financial situation too
